Coen de Koning was a speed skater and cyclist. He started his sports career as a cyclist, but switched to speed skating and became the second Dutch speed skater to win a world title, in 1905. He finished second in 500 m, and won the 1500, 5000 and 10,000 m events. De Koning won the national all-around title in 1903, 1905 and 1912, and set national records in the 500 m and 10,000 m in 1905; these records stood until 1926 and 1929. De Koning also set a world record in one-hour skating, at 32,370 m in 1906, and won the Elfstedentocht in 1912 and 1917.
Peter Kops, known professionally as Extince, is one of the first Dutch language rappers, or Dutch Hip-Hoppers to achieve a top-40 hit in the mainstream Dutch music charts. His hit song "Spraakwater" rose into the top-ten, and was a historic breakthrough for Dutch-language rap & hip-hop – even more than for the artist himself.

Sjoukje Maria Diderika Troelstra-Bokma de Boer, better known under her pseudonym Nienke van Hichtum, was a well-known Frisian Dutch children's author and translator. From 1888 to 1904, she was married to the socialist leader Pieter Jelles Troelstra. The couple had two children: a daughter, Dieuwke and a son, Jelle. Her son Jelle Troelstra (1891–1979) was a sculptor and graphic designer.
Dutch comics are comics made in the Netherlands. In Dutch the most common designation for the whole art form is "strip", whereas the word "comic" is used for the (usually) soft cover American style comic book format and its derivatives, typically containing translated US superhero material. This use in colloquial Dutch of the adopted English word for that format can cause confusion in English language texts.
Agent 327 is a Dutch action/comedy comic series by cartoonist Martin Lodewijk. It was a regular feature from 1966 until 1983, and again from 2000 to the present. The eponymous Agent 327 is a James Bond/Maxwell Smart-like Dutch secret agent who fights for "Righteousness and World Peace"; his looks are based on the character of Peter Gunn. Often partnered with the junoesque Olga Lawina, his adventures take him around Europe and the rest of the world as he battles numerous villains, both fictional and parodies of real people.
Jacques Tichelaar is a Dutch politician and former trade union leader and educator. He is a member of the Labour Party. Since 1 May 2009 he had been the King's Commissioner in the province of Drenthe. He resigned on 1 March 2017.

Van den Hout published two additional volumes in 1977, and the series was extended by Peter de Zwaan, who published volume 50 in 2010. An estimated five million Bob Evers books were sold.

The Apostle Matthew is a c. 1618-1620 painting by the Flemish artist Anthony van Dyck depicting Matthew the Apostle. One of its inspirations was probably the series of paintings of the Apostles he had seen in his master Rubens' studio around 1610, produced for the Duke of Lerma. The smooth brushwork is consistent with the painter's other works from first period in Antwerp.
