Pezula Racing ( UCI team code:PZR) were a UCI Continental cycling team registered in Ireland that participated predominantly in races on the UCI Europe Tour. The team was managed by Brian O'Loughlin with assistance from directeur sportif David McQuaid.

Their biggest wins were 2 stages in the 2008 Rás Tailteann

It was announced in July 2008 that due to economic pressures in Ireland and the downturn in the construction industry, Pezula Construction would stop the sponsorship of the team. However, the directeur sportif David McQuaid has stepped in and his company DMC Sports Ireland will take over the sponsorship of the team. [1] This was announced while the team were racing in Quinghai Lake, China.

Rás Tailteann, known for sponsorship reasons as the An Post Rás or the Rás for short, is an annual 8-day international cycling stage race, held in Ireland in May. Around Ireland, the race is referred to as The Rás. By naming the race Rás Tailteann the original organisers, members of the National Cycling Association (NCA), were associating the cycle race with the Tailteann Games, a Gaelic festival in early medieval Ireland.

Paul Kimmage is an Irish sports journalist and former amateur and professional road bicycle racer, who was road race champion of Ireland in 1981, and competed in the 1984 Olympic Games. He wrote for The Sunday Times newspaper and others, and published a number of books.

Navigators (cycling team)

Navigators Insurance Cycling Team was an elite road bicycle racing cycling team in the United States. Navigators focuses on USA Cycling and UCI America Tour events. The team has competed in every Tour de Georgia. The team was founded in 1992 by Raymond Cipollini and James Eichvalds. The team turned Pro in 1994 and hired Edward Beamon to be its director.

Ciarán Power is a former professional racing cyclist, the first Irish cyclist to ride in a major tour since Stephen Roche in 1993. He is a member of the Irish Pezula Racing Team. Power turned professional in 2000 with Linda McCartney Racing Team and rode the 2000 Giro d'Italia, gaining 2 top ten stage finishes. When the McCartney team folded in 2001, Power joined the French St Quentin team before moving to the US the following season and joining Navigators.

David McCann Irish cyclist

David McCann is an Irish former professional road bicycle racer, who rode in the 1996, 2000 and 2012 Olympic Games. He was the Irish national road race champion in 2000, 2001 and 2006, and won the Irish national time trial championships a record 6 times. He last rode for the Synergy Baku Cycling Project, an Azerbaijan-registered UCI Continental team.

David O'Loughlin is a professional cyclist, who rode at World Championship and Olympic levels, and won Ireland's first UCI World Cup Track medal. O'Loughlin also won the national road championship three times.

Laurence Roche is a former professional Irish road racing cyclist. He was a professional from 1989 to 1991, where he rode for the Carrera Jeans–Vagabond for two years and then for Tonton Tapis–GB team for 1991 in which he rode the Tour de France for the only time in his career. During that Tour, he raced on the same team as his famous brother, Stephen Roche. Stephen was disqualified on the second stage of the race after failing to make the time limit when he missed the start time of the team time trial. Several days later, Lawrence went on a long solo breakaway. Roche would finish his only tour in 153rd place. In 2002, he was back to racing after a two-year break and he won the Dunboyne 3 day race. In 2008, Roche competed in the FBD Insurance Ras.

An Post–Chain Reaction is a UCI continental professional cycling team registered in the Republic of Ireland, based at the Sean Kelly Academy in Merchtem, Flanders. The team participates on the UCI Europe Tour. The squad is managed by Kurt Bogaerts and Sean Kelly with directeur sportif Andy Vanhoudt. The team disbanded at the end of the 2017 season, after they failed to find sponsorship.

Paul Wright (cyclist)

Paul Wright is an English professional racing cyclist, specialising in cyclo-cross and mountain bike racing. He was a member of the Ace Racing Team for cyclo-cross, nationally and internationally from 1995 until 2002. He also raced to Pro-Elite level in mountain bike racing winning numerous titles in cross-country events. He currently races on the road events nationally and internationally to UCI 2.2 level.

The 2010 FBD Insurance Rás Tailteann was the 58th edition of the Rás Tailteann cycle race. The race took place over 8 days between 23 and 30 May 2010. The race was sponsored by FBD Insurance.

Martyn Irvine Northern Ireland-born former cyclist (born 1985)

Martyn Irvine is a Northern Ireland-born former cyclist, who competed professionally between 2008 and 2017 for the Pezula Racing, Planet X, RTS Racing Team, UnitedHealthcare, Madison Genesis and Aqua Blue Sport teams, and rode at the 2012 Olympic Games. He was also a directeur sportif for the Aqua Blue Sport team.

Team Wiggins Le Col, also known as Team Wiggins in media, was a professional developmental cycling team based in the United Kingdom, which began competing in elite road bicycle racing and track cycling in 2015. The team folded at the end of the 2019 season after completing the Tour of Britain.

Valter Bonča is a Slovenian former racing cyclist, who currently works as a directeur sportif for UCI Continental team Tirol KTM Cycling Team. He competed at the 1988 Summer Olympics, representing Yugoslavia, and at the 1992 Summer Olympics, representing Slovenia.
