The Chiefs are a New Zealand professional rugby union team based in Hamilton, Waikato. The team competes in the Super Rugby competition, previously known as the Super 12 and Super 14, and are one of the competition's five New Zealand teams. Their primary home ground is FMG Stadium Waikato.
Tasesa James Lavea is a New Zealand rugby union coach and former professional rugby league and rugby union footballer. He is of Samoan and Māori descent and heritage, and he coaches the 1st XV for Saint Kentigern College.
Angus James Macdonald is a retired New Zealand rugby union footballer. Macdonald has played for Auckland, the Blues, Toyota Verblitz, Coca-Cola Redsparks, Glasgow Warriors, New Zealand Maori and the All Blacks in a career that began in 2001. Angus Macdonald is known for his versatility, as he has played in various positions in the forwards including Lock, Flanker and Number 8. It was this ability to play multiple positions capably that led to his selection in the 2005 Northern Hemisphere tour, he joined Chris Masoe, Neemia Tialata Isaia Toeava as All Black coach Graham Henry looked to strengthen depth by breaking in players that could take up many positions. Macdonald was part of the champion Blues Super 14 campaign in 2003 and has captained his province; at the young age of 24.
William Charles Aroyn Walker is a former New Zealand rugby union footballer. He played for Gloucester and Worcester Warriors in the Guinness Premiership. He has also played for the New Zealand Maori.
Jackson Dan Kingi Willison is a New Zealand rugby union player. His regular playing position is as a centre.
Augustine Pulu is a professional rugby union player who plays as a scrum-half for Japan Rugby League One club Hino Red Dolphins. Born in New Zealand, he represents Tonga at international level after qualifying on ancestry grounds.
Dave Rennie is a New Zealand and Cook Islands professional rugby union coach and former player. He will take over the Kobe Steelers as head coach for the 2023-24 season. He previously was the head coach of the Australia national rugby union team from 2020 to 2023, having previously coached New Zealand sides the Chiefs, Manawatu, Wellington, the New Zealand U20, as well as in Scotland, with Glasgow Warriors from 2017 to 2020. Rennie's playing position was Centre. In November 2019 he was named the head coach of the Australian national team until being sacked in January 2023.
Henry Benjamin Pyrgos is a former Scotland international rugby union player and now coach. He is an Assistant Coach at Boroughmuir. He previously played for Edinburgh Rugby in the United Rugby Championship; and is a centurion for Glasgow Warriors, winning the Pro12 title with the club in 2015.
Jason David O'Halloran is an All Black cap and rugby union coach. He is now the Assistant Coach at Suntory Sungoliath. He was the Assistant Coach of Glasgow Warriors. Before that he was an Assistant coach to the Scotland national team.

Petrus du Plessis is a professional rugby coach and former player, most recently for Glasgow Warriors. He played as a Tighthead Prop and acted as player-coach at the club.
Bruce Flockhart is a Scottish former professional rugby union player who played for Glasgow Warriors. His usual position is at the Number Eight position. He has previously been loaned out from Glasgow Warriors and the Scottish Rugby Academy to the French side Stade Niçois for the 2017-18 season.
Joe Naufahu is a New Zealand actor and former professional rugby player. During his rugby career, he played for the Leicester Tigers and Glasgow Warriors, among others, and briefly coached the Glasgow Hutchesons Aloysians. He began acting in 2005. Most notably, he portrayed Khal Moro in the sixth season of the HBO fantasy TV series Game of Thrones. In August 2021, it was announced that he would feature in the 2021 Season of Celebrity Treasure Island 2021.
During the 2016–17 season, the Glasgow Warriors competed in the Guinness Pro12 and the European Champions Cup. It was the team's last season under head coach Gregor Townsend. Due to flooding of its grass pitch, an artificial-turf surface was installed at Scotstoun Stadium.

Dalton Reece Papalii ("Pa-pa-lee-e") is a New Zealander professional rugby union player who plays for Counties Manukau in the Mitre 10 Cup and the Blues in the Super Rugby competition. Papalii has also played international test match rugby for the All Blacks, making his debut in 2018. His position is flanker.

Eli Caven is an English rugby union player, now playing with Cambridge. He previously played for Glasgow Warriors in the United Rugby Championship, and Ayrshire Bulls in the Super 6. He plays on the wing.
