Phil and John was a contemporary Christian music duo from Mansfield who recorded and toured throughout the 1980s and 1990s. [1]
Phil and John were Phil Baggaley and John Hartley, childhood friends who first started playing together at the age of 13. [1] Their performances, which included an appearance at the Greenbelt festival in 1989, [2] typically incorporated music and comedy. [1] Although no longer performing and recording as a group, both remained within the music business: Baggaley went on to establish Christian record label Gold Records, [3] while Hartley moved to Nashville, Tennessee and became director of A&R for Worship Together Records. [4]
Whilst known for contemporary worship music as Phil and John, the duo also recorded secular music as "The Wood Thieves". [1] Their most notable release in this capacity was a single with The Grimethorpe Colliery Band and was a response to announcement of the closure of Grimethorpe Colliery. [5]

Phil Driscoll is a trumpeter, singer, composer, and producer. Mortal was a Christian industrial/dance band fronted by Jerome Fontamillas and Jyro Xhan. Bedtime Prayers: Lullabies and Peaceful Worship is the fourteenth studio and children's music album by Christian singer-songwriter Twila Paris, released on March 27, 2001 by Sparrow Records. Bedtime Prayers consists of original lullabies written by Paris, with the exception of the William O. Cushing hymn "Jewels." The album was perfectly timed because Paris and her husband Jack Wright were expecting their first child. A month after the album's release, Paris gave birth to their first born son named Jack Paris Wright. It was a name Paris had picked out for 15 years. The album is produced by John Hartley of the U.K. Christian music duo Phil and John, with additional production by Derald Daugherty, lead singer of the alternative Christian rock group The Choir. Paris won a Dove Award for Children's Music Album of the Year for Bedtime Prayers at the 33rd GMA Dove Awards in 2002. The album reached number one on the Billboard Top Kid Albums chart.
