Claude Thesiger Ashton was an English amateur footballer and first-class cricketer. As footballer he played for Corinthians in several different positions including goalkeeper and centre forward, although his preferred position was wing-half. He made one appearance for the England national team in 1925 when he was appointed team captain. As a cricketer he played for Cambridge University and Essex. A pre-war officer of the Auxiliary Air Force, he died as a result of a mid-air collision in a training accident in the Second World War.
Gilbert Ashton MC was an English cricketer who played 62 first-class matches between the wars, mostly for Cambridge University and Worcestershire. His obituary in Wisden called him "a fine, aggressive stroke-player" and praised his fielding ability at cover point. His bowling was of the occasional variety, and after he left Cambridge became essentially non-existent.

Ashton James Turner is an Australian cricketer who debuted for Western Australia during the 2012–13 season, and is also contracted to the Perth Scorchers. From Perth, Turner represented Western Australia at under-15 (schoolboys), under-17 and under-19 level. and captained the under-17 team to their National Championships win. A right-arm off spinner, he toured India with the Australian under-19 team in September and October 2011, taking eight wickets from six matches in a quadrangular tournament involving the Australian, Indian, Sri Lankan, and West Indian under-19 teams. At the 2012 Under-19 World Cup, he was Australia's first-choice spinner, ahead of Victoria's Ashton Agar, and took eleven wickets from six matches, with his best figures 4/28 against Nepal.
Philip George Carling was an English cricketer and cricket administrator. He played 30 first-class matches for Cambridge University Cricket Club between 1967 and 1970.
Peter Hatzoglou is an Australian cricketer. Hatzoglou was born in Perth, Western Australia, to a father whose family came from Kozani in Greece, and a mother from North Macedonia. He is known for his idiosyncratic bowling action, ability to bowl topspinners, sliders and googlies as well as the ability to bowl from a high release point at high pace.
