Philip Godana

Philip Galma Godana (died 14 February 2015) was a Kenyan politician. He served as a member of parliament for Moyale Constituency. [1]

On 14 February 2015 at 2 AM Godana's house in Syokimau, Nairobi, was entered by four persons out to rob the family according to the police. When they met with resistance Godana was shot and killed. [1] Godana's mother, wife, and three children were present in the home during the incident but were left unharmed. [2] The robbers were reported to have gotten away with electronics and cash. [3] After the murder neighborhood residents protested due to rising insecurity. [4]

Godana was married to Kule Galma, a Commissioner on the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission. [2]

Nairobi railway station

Nairobi railway station is a railway station located in Nairobi, Kenya. The station is on the metre gauge Uganda Railway, and used to provide services to Mombasa three times per week. However, in 2017, the new Mombasa-Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway took over services to Mombasa, starting from a new Nairobi Terminus in Syokimau, 20km from Nairobi CBD.

Sodo–Moyale–Suswa High Voltage Power Line is a 500 kV bipolar high-voltage direct current electricity power transmission line, under construction, connecting the Wolayta converter station near Sodo, Ethiopia with the Suswa converter station near Suswa, Kenya.
