Stade Français Paris Rugby is a French professional rugby union club based in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. The club plays in the Top 14 domestic league in France and is one of the most successful French clubs of the modern era. The original Stade Français was founded in 1883. In its current form, the club was founded in 1995 with the merger of the rugby sections of the Stade Français and Club Athlétique des Sports Généraux (CASG).
Biarritz Olympique Pays Basque, usually known simply as Biarritz, is a French professional rugby union team based in the Basque city of Biarritz, New Aquitaine which competes in the Top 14, the top division of French rugby. Biarritz plays its home matches at the Parc des Sports Aguiléra, which is a multi-use stadium in Biarritz and which has a capacity of around 13,500 people, though for games that need a larger capacity, Biarritz may play at the Estadio Anoeta in San Sebastián. Biarritz play in red and white colours. Biarritz won a number of major honors, including the French championship on five occasions.
Imanol Harinordoquy is a French former rugby union player. He typically played as a number 8 for Stade Toulousain at club level in the Top 14 and for France internationally. Before signing with Biarritz ahead of the 2004–05 season, he played club rugby at Pau.
Eddie O'Sullivan is an Irish rugby union coach, player and a former Gaelic footballer. He is a former head coach of the United States national rugby union team and of the Ireland national rugby union team. He was head coach of Biarritz Olympique, who play in the second tier of France, until October 2015.
Gonzalo Quesada is a retired Argentine rugby player who presently works as a coach for Stade Français in France's Top 14.
Damien Traille is a former French rugby union footballer. His usual position was centre, fly-half and fullback. Traille has played for France, including at the 2003 Rugby World Cup and the 2011 Rugby World Cup as well as France's Six Nations victories in 2002, 2004 and 2006.
Clément Poitrenaud is a former French rugby union footballer. His usual position is at fullback but he also plays at centre. He most recently played for South African side the Sharks in Super Rugby, having represented Toulouse in the French Top 14 club competition between 2000 and 2016, and France between 2001 and 2012, including at the 2003 Rugby World Cup in Australia and the 2007 Rugby World Cup in France. He has since transitioned into a role of partner, father and coach.
Thierry Dusautoir is a French former rugby union player who last played for France at international level and Toulouse in the French Top 14 club competition. Dusautoir was considered a strong ball carrier and possessed incredibly powerful and effective tackling. He broke the record for most tackles in a match, making 38 tackles against the All Blacks in the 2007 World Cup. He was considered one of, if not the best tackler in the world.
Jérôme Thion is a French rugby union footballer who currently plays for Biarritz Olympique in the Top 14 club competition in France. Thion, one of the most hard-working and underrated locks in world rugby, has played for France since 2003, representing them at the 2003 Rugby World Cup in Australia as well as captaining them in three tests in late 2005. He was also a part of the 2006 Six Nations Championship-winning side.

Manuel Nicolás Carizza is an Argentine rugby union footballer who usually plays as a lock. He currently plays for French Top 14 side Racing 92. He started his career with Argentine club Jockey Club de Rosario until he joined French side Biarritz in 2005. He spent seven years at Biarritz before joining Racing Métro for the 2012–13 season. In 2014, he signed for South African Super Rugby side the Stormers and also played for their affiliated domestic provincial side Western Province, but returned to Racing Métro for the 2015–16 season.
Arnaud Mignardi is a French rugby union footballer. He currently plays for Stade Montois in the Pro D2. He has previously played for CA Brive, ASM Clermont Auvergne, Biarritz Olympique and SU Agen. His usual position is at centre.
Maxime Médard is a French rugby union player who plays his club rugby for French club Stade Toulousain in Top 14 and France internationally. He can play as both a full-back and on the wing and is described by assistant national team coach Émile Ntamack as an "incredible talent" that, during the 2010–11 season, was finally "realizing his potential". Medard is a two-time winner of the Heineken Cup and, in 2008, won the Top 14 for the first time. Also referred to as 'The French Wolverine.'
