Philippe Walter Marie Dodard (born 1954) is a Haitian graphic artist and painter. His works have been exhibited throughout Europe and the Americas.
Dodard was born in Port-au-Prince in 1954. [1]
He received the first prize in drawing at the Petit Séminaire Collège Saint-Martial in 1966.[ citation needed ]
He studied at the PotoMitan Art School with Jean-Claude "Tiga" Garoute, Patrick Vilaire and Frido Casimir. In 1973, he entered the Academy of Fine Arts. After working as layout artist and founding a studio of audiovisual graphic arts, in 1978, he received a scholarship to the International School in Bordeaux, France, enabling him to specialize in pedagogic graphic design.
In 1980 he received a scholarship from the Rotary International Foundation and left on tour with the Group Study Exchange of Haiti to give conferences on Haitian culture.
Dodard worked as an advertising illustrator.
His artwork has evolved to include large sculptures, fine iron works and fine jewelry design.
His paintings have inspired American fashion designer Donna Karan's 2012 Spring collection and a joint exhibition with her at Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami in Miami, Florida. [2] He has participated in a number of Biennales and exhibitions in the Caribbean, the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia. Dodard was recently the Guest of Honor at the Festival sur le Niger in Segou, Mali.
In 2018, Dodard participated in the inauguration of the Museum of Black Civilisation of Dakar, and was honored as "Chevalier de l’Ordre national du Lion" by Macky Sall, president of Senegal. His collection "African Memory" is part of the permanent collection of the country's national museum. [3]

Mihael Milunović is a Serbian and French painter. His work encompasses a wide range of artistic disciplines, from painting, drawing and photography through large-scale sculptures, installations, to sound, video and objects. His main interests focus on social and political issues. By decontextualizing everyday objects, symbols or situations, Milunović provokes unease in the observer, a blend of alienation and curiosity.
Ralph Allen is a Haitian painter. Born in Port-au-Prince, Allen was awarded a scholarship to the National Academy of Design's School of Fine Arts in New York City. His paintings have been exhibited at the Loeb Center at New York University, the National Audubon Society, and at his alma mater, the National Academy of Design.

Guerdy Jacques Preval is a Haitian-Canadian painter. He now lives and works in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Fernand Toupin was a Québécois abstract painter best known as a first-generation member of the avant-garde movement known as Les Plasticiens. Like other members of the group, his shaped paintings drew upon the tradition of geometric abstraction, and he cited Mondrian as a forerunner. In 1959, Toupin began working with a more lyrical, though abstract, way of painting. The last decade of his career saw his return to geometric abstraction. Like Jean-Paul Mousseau, Toupin created works which lay outside the standard boundaries of art such as his stage sets for ballets.
Winston Branch OBE is a British artist originally from Saint Lucia, the sovereign island in the Caribbean Sea. He still has a home there, while maintaining a studio in California. Works by Branch are included in the collections of Tate Britain, the Legion of Honor De Young Museum in San Francisco, California, and the St Louis Museum of Art in Missouri. Branch was the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1978, the British Prix de Rome, a DAAD Fellowship to Berlin, a sponsorship to Belize from the Organization of American States, and was Artist in Residence at Fisk University in Tennessee. He has been a professor of fine arts and has taught at several art institutions in London and in the US. He has also worked as a theatrical set designer with various theatre groups.
Sergine Andre (‘Djinn’), born in the Artibonite region of Haiti, is an artist who has lived and worked in Brussels since 2010. Her paintings express an identity that straddles two worlds. Her imagination draws from both the magical-spiritual tradition of her home region and the Haitian artistic avant-garde and in her paintings she brings together contrasting themes such as life and death, light and shadows.
