The Philippine Army Dragon Boat Team is a dragon boat sports club affiliated with Philippine Army. The sporting team is a member of the Philippine Dragon Boat Federation.
After being booted out of the Philippine National Team in 2010, the Army athletes organized the Philippine Army Dragon Boat Team (Dragon Boat Paddling Club) whose members are all active duty soldier-athletes of the Special Services Unit (currently known as the Special Services Center). Since then, the club participated and dominated both local and international competitions (Indonesia and Malaysia).
Seven members of the Philippine Army Dragon Boat Team were called up to be part of the Pinoy Dragon Warriors team which participated at the 2011 IDBF Dragonboat World Championship which was held in Tampa, Florida in the United States. The team won 5 golds and 2 silvers at the said competition. [1]
The Philippine Army competed at the 9th IDBF Club Crews World Championship which was hosted at the Standiana Rowing Center in Ravena, Italy. The Philippine Army had lack of funds to send a team to the championships where they had qualified for, having no tickets to Italy two days before they flew out for the race on August 31. Team president, Lt. Col Harold Cabunoc planned to withdraw participation for the team if they fail to receive the remaining balance of 2 million pesos for the expenses of the trip. Philippine Army managed to find sponsors through, Intermed Philippines which sponsored half of the team's finances, the Armed Forces of the Philippines and friends of the members of the team. [2]
The Philippine Army team participated in three events at the tournament which began on September 3, 2014. They failed to achieve a podium finish at their opening event, the 2 kilometer race, after they collided with Team Netherlands during the race and they finished seventh. The team later won gold and set new competition records at two events the 200 meters Premier Open (47.85 seconds) and the 500 meters Premier Open (2:06.76) where they beat the runner-up team based in Germany. The Philippine Army Dragon Boat Team was officially registered at the Securities and Exchange Commission as the Army Dragon Warriors Inc. Lt. Col. Harold M Cabunoc was voted by the club members as the President.
The Philippine Army participated at the 2015 Japan Dragon Boat Championships which was held on July 19, 2015, at the Okawa River in Osaka, Japan. The tournament was contested by 70 teams. [4]
The team participated at the men's 250 meter race where it finished first out of 17 teams. The Army paddlers registered an average heat time of 53 seconds. At final 100 meters they paddled against the current of the Okawa River beating runners-up the Japanese national team by one second. [5]

These were made of teak, but in other parts of China different kinds of wood are used. The sport of dragon boat racing has its roots in an ancient folk ritual of contending villagers, which dates back 2000 years throughout southern China, and even further to the original games of Olympia in ancient Greece. Rubicon Riders Dragon Boat Racing Team (MDBRC) is based in Montreal on the Olympic Basin located in Parc Jean-Drapeau. The RR was founded in 2011 as a competitive U23 team, the first its kind in Quebec. The boat is composed with a mixture of paddlers from Raging Beast (16), Autoboat Beast(3), Kamikaze(1), Boat Rockers (2) and Montreal Mix(2).

The Philippine Dragon Boat Federation is one of the founding members of the International Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF) and recognized by the IDBF as the specific Governing Body for Dragon Boat racing in the Philippines. It is also a member of the South East Asian Traditional Boat Federation and the Asian Dragon Boat Federation. The PLDT Home Fibr Hitters is a professional men's volleyball team owned by PLDT. It was established in 2013 and originally consisted of men's and women's teams. In 2018, the women's team became merged with the Smart Giga Hitters. The men's team has been playing in the Spikers' Turf since October 2018.

Nesthy Alcayde Petecio is a Filipino amateur boxer. She won a silver medal in the inaugural women's featherweight event at the 2020 Summer Olympics, becoming the first Filipino woman to win an Olympic medal in boxing. She also won a silver medal at the 2014 World Championships and gold at the 2019 edition.
The Philippines national ice hockey team is the national men's ice hockey team of the Philippines. They are controlled by the Federation of Ice Hockey League (FIHL) and a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) since 20 May 2016. Prior to that period, a national team has played in regional tournaments in Hong Kong since the 2000s.

The United States was a Charter Member of the founding of the IDBF in 1990, via the American Dragon Boat Association of Iowa. The USDBF is also a member of the Pan-American Dragon Boat Federation (PADBF). It is a volunteer organization.
Noelle Christina Wenceslao is a Filipina mountaineer, adventurer, and Philippine Coast Guard officer who, on 16 May 2007, became the first Filipina to reach the summit of Mount Everest. She, along with fellow female mountaineers Carina Dayondon and Janet Belarmino, reached the summit of Mount Everest as part of an all-women Philippine expedition that climbed the tallest mountain in the world from the northern route and descended via the southern route.
Berkeley Racing Canoe Center (BRCC) is the umbrella organization for several dragon boat teams in Berkeley, California. BRCC is located in the Berkeley Marina at Dock M, and teams primarily practice within the protection of the 65-acre yacht harbor. Three main teams are currently affiliated with BRCC: DragonMax, Cal Dragon, and East Bay Rough Riders. BRCC teams compete at local, national, and international dragon boat races, including the International Dragon Boat Federation Club Crew World Championships in Ravenna, Italy (2014), Adelaide, Australia (2016), and Szeged, Hungary (2018). BRCC teams also conduct many short-duration dragon boat events for local community groups. BRCC is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Arnold "Capt. A" Balais is an above-the-knee-amputee Filipino paralympic athlete, vocational coordinator, orthotic and prosthetic technician. He is known for being the team captain of the Philippine Accessible Disability Service (PADS) Dragon Boat Team.
Philippine Accessible Disability Service Dragon Boat Team, also known as PADS Dragon Boat Team, is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that aims to enable persons with disability (PWDs) to grow and develop as independent, integrated, and empowered citizens of society. The Cebu-based dragon boat team comprises people with disabilities—some are amputees, while others are deaf or blind. PADS Dragon Boat Team is the first cross-disability adaptive dragon boat racing team in the Philippines.
