The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), also known as the Detroit Auto Show as of 2022 and prior to NAIAS, is an annual auto show held in Detroit, Michigan, U.S., at Huntington Place. The show was held in January from 1989 to 2019. It was intended to move to the summer in 2020, but was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic that year and 2021, before returning in September 2022. It is among the largest auto shows in North America. UPI says the show is "regarded as the foremost venue for [car] manufacturers to unveil new products".

The automotive industry in Pakistan is one of the fastest-growing industries in the country, growing by 171% between just 2014 and 2018. It accounts for 4% of Pakistan's GDP and employs a workforce of over 3.5 million people as of 2018. Pakistan is the 35th largest producer of automotives. Its contribution to the national exchequer is nearly Rs. 50 billion (US$220 million). Pakistan's auto market is among the smallest, but fastest-growing in Asia. 269,792 cars were sold in the year 2018, but declined to 186,716 in 2019 as a result of austerity measures. Pakistan used to have a lot of Japanese cars in the 1990s and early 2000s. With the launch of the first Auto Policy in 2005, Pakistan launched its very first indigenous car Adam Revo but after the 2008 elections the dollar started depreciating and due to bad governance a lot of auto makers started to halt production and some even exited Pakistan. At present, the auto market is dominated by Honda, Toyota and Suzuki. However, on 19 March 2016, Pakistan passed a second "Auto Policy 2016-21", which offers tax incentives to new automakers to establish manufacturing plants in the country. In response, Renault, Nissan, Proton Holdings, Kia, SsangYong, Volkswagen, FAW and Hyundai have expressed interest in entering the Pakistani market. MG JW Automobile Pakistan has signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Morris Garages (MG) Motor UK Limited, owned by SAIC Motor to bring electric vehicles in Pakistan. NLC signed an agreement with Mercedes Benz for the manufacturing of Mercedes Actros trucks in Pakistan. Pakistan has not enforced any automotive safety standards or model upgrade policies. A few old models of vehicles including the Bolan and Ravi continue to be sold by Suzuki. On 8 July 2021, Jolta Electric launched production of electric motorcycles.

Alabang is a barangay in Muntinlupa, Philippines. At one time the area was a farming district, and has since grown from a village to a major commercial center, which includes the Filinvest City and Madrigal Business Park, and a transportation hub. The Memphis International Auto Show is an annual auto show held every January in Memphis, Tennessee. The event takes place at the Memphis Cook Convention Center in Downtown Memphis and is affiliated with the Motor Trend regional auto show circuit. Despite the event's title name, not all vehicles or automakers are featured due to the limited convention space. Although the event is opened to visitors in the greater Memphis area, including residents from Arkansas and Mississippi, it is mandated at all auto shows in Tennessee that under state law, no sales may take place on the premises, and signs to that effect must be posted. There was no 2021 show, which was deferred to 2022.
The Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) is the largest auto show in Indonesia. It was started in 1986 as the Gaikindo Car Exhibition, then continued as Indonesia International Motor Show. Since 2015, the GIIAS was spun off from the Indonesia International Motor Show and is held annually at Indonesia Convention Exhibition in Tangerang, and also as series in Surabaya, Medan and Makassar.

The automobile production in the country is covered under the Philippine Motor Vehicle Development Program implemented by the Board of Investments. In addition, there are also a small number of independent firms who assemble and fabricate jeepneys and other similar vehicles, using surplus engines and drivetrain parts mostly from Japan.
