The Philippines women's national lacrosse team is the national team which represents the Philippines in international lacrosse competitions. It is organized by the Philippines Lacrosse Association, which is a full member of World Lacrosse and an associate member of the Asia Pacific Lacrosse Union.

History

The Philippines Lacrosse Association hired associate coach Steph Lazo as the head coach of a Philippine women's national team in February 2024. [1]

The Philippines made its debut at the 2025 Asia-Pacific Women's Lacrosse Championship in Queensland, Australia. [2] Lazo led the team as a playing coach. [3] They qualified for the 2026 World Lacrosse Women's World Championship in Japan [4] [5] They finished third. [6] [7]

The Philippines men's national basketball team, led by head coach Chot Reyes qualified for the 2017 FIBA Asia Cup and the first round of the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup Asian qualifiers by earning the sole Southeast Asia berth at the 2017 SEABA Championship. In the first round of the FIBA Basketball World Cup qualifiers the Philippines was grouped with Australia, Japan and Chinese Taipei. They won over Japan in Tokyo and secured a win over Chinese Taipei at home in Quezon City. They will play against the two teams one more time as well as Australia twice in 2018.

The Philippines has competed in ten editions of the AFC Women's Asian Cup, the top tournament for women's national teams organized by members of the Asian Football Confederation. The 2026 World Lacrosse Women's World Championship, the 12th Women's World Championship is the preeminent international women's lacrosse tournament. The tournament will be hosted in Japan.
