Phillip Madinga is the managing director and chief executive officer for Standard Bank Malawi Limited. He was appointed to the role of chief executive officer on 1 January 2021. [1]

He studied for his bachelor's degree in economics at the University of Malawi Chancellor College, and acquired both his Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration at Stellenbosch University.

Career

On 10 February 2016 Phillip was appointed as First Merchant Bank General manager [2] and in 2017 he was appointed Head of corporate and Investment banking at NBS Bank. [3] Phillip also served as chairperson of the Sunbird Tourism [4] and Commissioner for the National Planning Commission. [5] [6]

The kwacha is the currency of Malawi as of 1971, replacing the Malawian pound. It is divided into 100 tambala. Sosten Gwengwe is a Malawian politician currently serving as Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs of the Republic of Malawi since January 30 2022. He previously served as Minister of Trade from June 2020 until his appointment as Finance and Economic Affairs Minister. He was elected to Parliament in 2009 as a member of the Malawi Congress Party, but announced on August 31, 2011 that he was switching to the Democratic Progressive Party because the MCP "had nothing to offer to the country" and the DPP under President Bingu wa Mutharika had a "clear vision of developing the country". Following the death of President Mutharika, he joined the People's Party.

Kena Mphonda is a career diplomat and currently the Malawi High Commissioner to the United Kingdom. He was appointed on 14 March 2015. He succeeded Bernard Sande in 2015. He presented his credentials to Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom on 18 October 2015.

She was an advocate for breast cancer awareness and spoke about the lack of facilities and access to equitable management. She, until her death on 21 November 2020, worked as a civil servant for Malawi's Ministry of Tourism.

Eisenhower Nduwa Mkaka of Lilongwe is a Malawian politician who is a Member of Parliament for Lilongwe Mpenu Constituency and former Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. In January 2022, Mkaka was appointed Minister of Natural resources after a cabinet reshuffle. Mkaka also holds the position of Secretary General for the ruling Malawi Congress Party.

The 2015 TNM Super League was the 30th season of the Super League of Malawi, the top professional league for association football clubs in Malawi since its establishment in 1986. It started on 18 April 2015 and ended on 24 December 2015. Nyasa Big Bullets successfully defended their title, winning the twelfth Super League title.

Timothy Mtambo of Chitipa is a Malawian politician and serves as Minister of Civic Education and National Unity in Malawi government since 2020.
