Production

The film was written and directed by Brad Hall, starred Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Grégory Fitoussi and was shot in Paris in May and June 2011. [5] [6] [7] [8]

Release

Picture Paris had a screening at The Wilmette Theatre, Wilmette, Illinois on New Year's Day 2012. [9] Picture Paris premiered on 17 December 2012 at 9PM, on HBO. [10] It was entered into the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival. [11] [12]

The episode follows the night of the U.S. Presidential Election, in which President Selina Meyer is running against Senator Bill O'Brien. "Election Night" largely takes place in a hotel suite where Selina and her staff are watching the election returns on cable news. At the end of the episode, Selina and O'Brien are tied for electoral college votes.
