Martin Ručinský is a Czech former professional ice hockey player who played 16 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL). Ručínskýwas drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the first round as the 20th overall selection in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft on 22 June 1991.

The Nordiques had a successful regular season,qualifying for the playoffs,but they had a better playoff,making it to the Wales Final before losing to the eventual Stanley Cup champion New York Islanders.
