Jefferson County, Arkansas is a county located in the U.S. state of Arkansas in the area known as the Arkansas Delta that extends west of the Mississippi River. Jefferson County consists of five cities, two towns, and 20 townships. It is bisected by the Arkansas River, which was critical to its development and long the chief transportation byway. In 2020, Jefferson County's population was estimated at 67,260. The county seat and largest city is Pine Bluff. The county is included in the Pine Bluff metropolitan statistical area. The county seat and the most populous city is Pine Bluff.

The Battle of Pine Bluff, also known as the Action at Pine Bluff, was an engagement fought on October 25, 1863 in Jefferson County, Arkansas during the American Civil War. The Post of Pine Bluff, a United States garrison commanded by Colonel Powell Clayton, successfully defended the town against attacks led by Confederate Brigadier-General John S. Marmaduke's cavalry division. Much of the fighting took place near Jefferson Courthouse, which the Confederates tried unsuccessfully to set ablaze. The Union victory ensured Pine Bluff was occupied by U.S. forces until the end of the war.

Grider Field, also known as Pine Bluff Regional Airport, is a municipal airport at Pine Bluff, Arkansas. It was established in 1941 as a U.S. Army Flight Training School operated by the Pine Bluff School of Aviation. After World War II, the city turned it into a commercial airport facility. It is a 850 acre facility consisting of a large terminal and restaurant, FAA weather monitoring equipment, private corporate hangars, fixed-base operators offering fuel and avionics services, a fire station, and aviation museum. It serves as the only ILS-equipped, jet capable airport in southeast Arkansas.
The McDonald's Sign, also known as McDonald's Store #433 Sign, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, United States, is one of only a few surviving examples of a single-arch McDonald's sign. The sign was erected in 1962 and remained at its original location until 2007. That year, McDonald's Store #433 moved and the sign was renovated and moved to the new location. The McDonald's sign was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 2006.
Larry Dell Alexander is an American artist, Christian author and Catechist from Dermott, Arkansas, in Chicot County. Alexander is best known for his creations of elaborate colorful, and black & white "pen and ink" drawings in his "crosshatching", or "hatching" technique, and his acrylic paintings. His works not only depict the African-American experience but also the experiences of people throughout American history itself. He also received notoriety and a personal presidential thanks for his personal rendition of a "Clinton Family Portrait" oil painting which he gave to U.S. President Bill Clinton in 1995. It is now a part of the collection at the Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock, Arkansas. He is also known for the Arkansas Schools Tours that he did between 1996 and 2006. He has written several bible commentary books on the Christian Bible and in recent years he is better known for his writings and teachings on Christianity
Jefferson, also known as Jefferson Springs, is an unincorporated community in Jefferson County, Arkansas, United States. It is located on Arkansas Highway 365, 4.8 miles (7.7 km) south-southeast of Redfield and is the home of the National Center for Toxicological Research (NCTR).
Terron Armstead is an American professional football offensive tackle for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the third round of the 2013 NFL draft. He played college football at Arkansas–Pine Bluff.
John Chesley Colquitt was an American politician. He was a member of the Arkansas House of Representatives, serving from 1885 to 1888 and from 1893 to 1897. He was a member of the Democratic party. He died at his home in Magnolia, Arkansas on May 12, 1913.
Walter "Wiley" Jones was a businessman in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, who was one of the wealthiest African-Americans in his state. He owned the first streetcar company in Pine Bluff and a park in the city which housed the fairgrounds. A devotee of horse racing, he owned stables and a race track on the park grounds. He also owned a saloon. He was active in civic affairs and was an advocate for civil rights.

The 1946 Arkansas AM&N Lions football team represented Arkansas AM&N in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) during the 1946 college football season. In their first year under head coach Lamar Allen, the Lions compiled an 8–2–1 record, defeated Lane in the Cattle Bowl, and outscored all opponents by a total of 130 to 85.
Barraque Township is a township in Jefferson County, Arkansas, on the Arkansas River. It is named after Antoine Barraque, a 19th-century landowner. Its population was 2,515 as of the 2020 census. The only municipality is Redfield.
