Ping and Friends is a Brazilian-Canadian animated musical children's television series created by Celia Catunda and Kiko Mistrorigo. Produced by TV PinGuim and Kondolole Films, the series premiered on November 12, 2018 on TVOKids in Canada, and on November 19 on Discovery Kids in Brazil. [1]

Plot

Ping and Friends follows two best friends; Ping, a bird, and Pong, a dog, a duo who love music. With their friends Mr. Prickles, Matilda and Trix06, they always find a reason to create a new song in Melody Meadows. For Ping and Pong, the answer to everything is music. [2]

Broadcast

Ping and Friends had its world debut in Canada on November 12, 2018 on TVOKids. The series then premiered on Knowledge Kids on January 16, 2019. In Quebec, the series premiered on Télé-Québec on February 25, and on May 27, 2019 on TFO. In Brazil, the series premiered on Discovery Kids on November 19, 2018. [1] In the rest of Latin America, the series premiered on the same channel on February 26, 2019. [5]

In the United States, 13 episodes of the series are available on Amazon Prime and airing on Vme Kids.[ when? ]

An app based on the series, "Music with Ping and Friends" was released on the iTunes store, as well as Google Play. The game offers three educational musical activities.

Curious George is an American children's animated television series based on the children's book series of the same name for PBS Kids which features Jeff Bennett as the voice of Ted Shackelford. Frank Welker, who voiced George in the 2006 feature film, reprises the role in the series. Dino Dan is a Canadian television series that was created and is directed by J. J. Johnson. The series premiered on TVOKids in Canada on January 4, 2010, and on the Nick Jr. Channel in the United States on October 17 of the same year. The show is produced by Sinking Ship Entertainment, in association with TVOKids, Access, Knowledge Network, and SCN. A sequel of the series, Dino Dana, premiered on Amazon Prime on May 26, 2017. The show premiered on Universal Kids on October 6, 2018, three years after Nick Jr.'s rights to the series expired. It was reported in February 2013 that CITV had acquired and secured rights to air the programme and eventually re-air it on the channel.

<i>Fishtronaut</i> Brazilian childrens animated television series

Fishtronaut is a Brazilian-Canadian animated children's television series created by Célia Catunda and Kiko Mistrorigo, and produced by TV PinGuim, in association with Discovery Kids. The series is about the eponymous character, a fish in a spacesuit which allows him to fly and breathe out of water. He is a secret agent who, along with his friends Marina and Zeek, unravels the mysteries occurring in the Smiling Trees Park. They solve the mysteries with the help of a P.O.P., a magical multicolored ball containing clues vital to the mission. Viewers are invited to dance along with the heroes to a tune, so that the P.O.P. will open and release the clues inside. The series is aimed at children ages 3–7 and debuted successfully on Discovery Kids in Latin America on 20 April 2009.

Franklin and Friends is a CGI children's television series produced by Nelvana. The second adaptation and spin-off of the classic characters from the Franklin the Turtle series of children's books written by Paulette Bourgeois and illustrated by Brenda Clark, the series was announced by Nelvana on September 28, 2010. The series also serves as a reboot of the 1997 animated television series. The series premiered on Treehouse TV on March 4, 2011. The series’ theme song is a revamped version of the original series theme, "Hey It's Franklin".

Let's Go Luna! is an educational animated children's television series created by Joe Murray that aired on PBS Kids. Hero Elementary is a children's animated television series created and produced by Portfolio Entertainment and Twin Cities PBS. The series premiered on June 1, 2020, on PBS Kids. The series was created by co-creators Carol-Lynn Parente and Christine Ferraro, who previously worked on Sesame Street. The series involves the students of "The Sparks' Crew"—Lucita Sky, AJ Gadgets, Sara Snap and Benny Bubbles—who are trained in superheroics by their quirky and enthusiastic teacher, Mr. Sparks. Together the students work as a team, using their own unique superpowers, as well as the "Superpowers of Science" to help people, solve problems, and try to make the world a better place. Michela Luci is a Canadian actress from Ancaster, Ontario, most noted as the leading role of Dino Dana. She won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Performer in a Children's, Family Viewing or Special Class Program at the 45th Daytime Emmy Awards, and is a two-time Canadian Screen Award nominee for Best Performance in a Children's or Youth Program or Series at the 6th Canadian Screen Awards in 2018 and the 7th Canadian Screen Awards in 2019. She also portrayed Tabby in the science fiction series Endlings, which premiered on January 5, 2020 on CBC Television in Canada and Hulu in the U.S.
