Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) is a public medical college and hospital located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is the largest and most reputed medical college and hospital of the country. The hospital ranks among top 20 worldwide, based on size and number of patients. Established on 10 July 1946, the college houses a medical school as well as a tertiary care hospital on its campus.
Notre Dame College, Dhaka, also known as NDC, is a higher secondary and degree level educational institution founded and managed by the priests of the Congregation of Holy Cross located in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. Upon the invitation of the then East Pakistan government after the partition of India, St. Gregory's College was founded on 3 November 1949, as an expanded iteration of St. Gregory's High School in Laxmibazar, Dhaka. In 1954, the college relocated to Arambagh near Kamalapur railway station under the jurisdiction of the Motijheel Thana, and was dedicated to Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ, being named Notre Dame College. The French phrase "Notre Dame" signifies Our Lady, yet Notre Dame College has remained an all-boys institution since its establishment.
St. Joseph Higher Secondary School, also known as SJC, is a Catholic higher secondary school in Asad Gate, Mohammadpur, Dhaka, Bangladesh, regarded as one of the best colleges in Bangladesh. In 2023, St. Joseph was one of seven colleges awarded the 'A+' grade. It is a school offering education from third to twelfth grade, with pupils averaging 8 to 18 years of age. The school is a single-shift (morning) school with over 2,000 students.
