Tirana or Tiranë is the capital and largest city by area and population of the Republic of Albania. It is located in the centre of Albania enclosed by mountains and hills with Mount Dajt elevating on the east and a slight valley on the northwest overlooking the Adriatic Sea in the distance. Due to its location at the Plain of Tirana and the close proximity to the Mediterranean Sea, the city is particularly influenced by a Mediterranean seasonal climate. It is among the wettest and sunniest cities in Europe, with 2,544 hours of sun per year.

Since September 2003, Top Channel has been present on satellite by broadcasting all over Europe through DigitAlb, and North America through TV ALB and Shqip TV. The channel is available through IPTV in Europe and North America, and through local cable in Switzerland.
Radio Televizioni Shqiptar (RTSH) is an Albanian public-service radio and television broadcasting company. Founded in 1938, it operates several radio and television channels, over a domestic transmitter network as well as satellite. The international television service via satellite RTSH Sat was launched in 1993 and is aimed at Albanian-speaking communities in Kosovo, Serbia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, and northern Greece, plus the Albanian diaspora in the rest of Europe. RTSH is funded by a combination of commercial advertising, an annual licence fee of US$12.00 and grant-in-aid from the Albanian government.
Cërrik is a municipality in Elbasan County, central Albania. It was formed at the 2015 local government reform by the merger of the former municipalities Cërrik, Gostimë, Klos, Mollas and Shalës, that became municipal units. The seat of the municipality is the town Cërrik. The total population is 27,445, in a total area of 189.77 km2.

Tirana railway station was the central railway hub of Tirana, Albania. The railway was connected to other cities in Albania including Vlorë and Durrës. The railway station was said to have no luggage office. On 2 September 2013, the station was closed for passenger and freight transport, and was demolished to make room for a new boulevard that leads over the station area to the north. A completely new district will be created. As a result, the Tirana station was moved to Vorë in 2013, and later to renovated Kashar station in May 2015. The former Kashar-Tiranë line around 10 km in length was replaced with a bus service.
ABC News is an Albanian free to air television channel based in Tirana, Albania owned by Media 6 sh.a. It was founded in 2010 by Albanian media businessman Aleksandër Frangaj on the frequency of the defunct Italian-Albanian channel Telenorba Shqiptare. It is part of the Klan media group, together with TV Klan, Klan Kosova, and Klan Macedonia. ABC News Radio, a radio relay channel is available on 105.0 FM in Tirana.
