Pniówek [ˈpɲuvɛk] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Pawłowice, within Pszczyna County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. [1] It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) west of Pawłowice, 20 km (12 mi) west of Pszczyna, and 40 km (25 mi) south-west of the regional capital Katowice.

Pniówek represents one of the largest coal reserve in Poland having estimated reserves of 101.3 million tonnes of coal. The annual coal production is around 5.16 million tonnes.
