Podcast Squared was a weekly podcast that began in June 2010 as a way to discuss topics that are important in podcast culture.
Andrew Johnstone is the creator and weekly host of the show. In 2011 the cast expanded to include former host of the podcast Sciencetastic, Joe Vilwock, and current creator of Movies On Up Dave Biscella. Since early 2013 the format of the show changed to include a rotating guest co-host every week that is usually the host of another podcast or contributor to podcasting in general.
Each weekly episode would include between one and three reviews of other podcasts using a rating scale of Delete (bad) Hit or Miss (mediocre) and Subscribe (good). The second half of each episode would then feature a half-hour interview with the host of another podcast with questions that mostly focus on how they got started podcasting and more specific questions about their show and where it fits in with other podcasts. The show shifted to a twice weekly format from late 2012 until June 2013. Episodes were released on Monday and Thursday. Monday's episodes would continue to feature the reviews of new podcasts and would also feature Johnstone and co-host Dave Biscella discussing the most recent events in podcast news. Thursday's episode would continue to feature interviews with podcasters, podcast business professionals, producers, and journalists of podcasting [2] but the format expanded beyond half-hour episodes into 45-minute and hour long discussions.
Returning to once weekly episodes, the show alternates weeks between discussing the news with a rotating guest co-host and interviewing notable members of the podcast community.
This is a regular feature on the show where Johnstone asks three off the wall questions of his guests in order to extract a humorous or potentially revealing answer. Common themes in these questions include acts of cannibalism, super powers, and the official mascot of Podcast Squared, a hippo, entering into gladiatorial combat with a random opponent with the victor chosen by the guest.
The show ended in 2014. In later podcast appearances Johnstone has stated that it was too much work at the time but that the show may see a revival in 2021. [3]

Real Time with Bill Maher is an American television talk show that airs weekly on HBO, hosted by comedian and political satirist Bill Maher. Much like his previous series Politically Incorrect on Comedy Central and later on ABC, Real Time features a panel of guests who discuss current events in politics and the media. Buzz Out Loud, "CNET's podcast of indeterminate length," or BOL, as it is affectionately titled by its fans, was a podcast about technology produced by CNET. The podcast was released daily on weekdays for the majority of its run, and weekly on Thursdays near its end. At its inception, the show was hosted by Tom Merritt and Molly Wood. Later in the shows life, other hosts, producers and guests appeared on the show although throughout most of its life, the show had either Tom, Molly or both hosting.
FLOSS Weekly is a free and open-source software (FLOSS) themed netcast from the TWiT Network. The show premiered on April 7, 2006, and features interviews with prominent guests from the free software/open source community. It was originally hosted by Leo Laporte; his cohost for the first seventeen episodes was Chris DiBona and subsequently Randal Schwartz. In May 2010, Schwartz took over from Laporte as lead host. Live Audio Wrestling was a Canadian sports radio talk show hosted by "The Mouth" Dan Lovranski and Jason Agnew. The program primarily covered news and events surrounding professional wrestling and mixed martial arts. First premiering in May 1997 as an internet radio show, The LAW later shifted to conventional radio on several stations in the Toronto area, and moved to CHUM in 2011, where it remained until its cancellation on October 30, 2017.

Joy Behar: Say Anything! was an American news program and talk show hosted by Joy Behar. The program had its "Preview" while Behar filled in as a week-long host on Viewpoint with Eliot Spitzer on June 18, 2012, and officially premiered on Current TV on September 4, 2012. The final episode of the Current TV program aired on August 1, 2013, as the network prepared to transition to Al Jazeera America.
Spill.com was a movie and video game review, discussion and news website. It was the continuation of the 9-year-old Austin, Texas-based public-access television cable TV show called The Reel Deal. There were four main film critic contributors to the website, collectively known as the Spill Crew, including Korey Coleman, Chris Cox, Martin Thomas, and Tony Guerrero. Under aliases, with the exception of Coleman, they reviewed movies as animated versions of themselves or in uncut audio reviews, maintaining their personas in weekly podcasts. The website was owned by Hollywood.com, under R&S Investments. Stylistically, the site strived to maintain a "down-to-earth vibe." As of July 2013, Spill.com had over 50,000 registered members. On December 6, 2013, it was announced that the site would be shutting down. As of December 20, 2013, The URL for the website now redirects to the Hollywood.com website. Their final review was for the 2013 Disney film Saving Mr. Banks. Founder Korey Coleman posted on his Facebook page that he could not share details regarding the shutdown but that he has mostly made peace with "past events" and "everything is fine". He also received funds via a successful Kickstarter to start a new website that is a spiritual successor to Spill.com titled Double Toasted, alongside Martin Thomas. Chris Cox, better known as Cyrus, has since started his own website, OneOfUs.net.
Earwolf is an American comedy podcasting network founded by Scott Aukerman and Jeff Ullrich in August 2010. In 2011, they announced a partnership with Funny Or Die. It merged with podcast advertising network The Mid Roll in 2014, a separate company founded by Ullrich, to form Midroll Media. Midroll was acquired by the E. W. Scripps Company in 2015. In July 2020, Sirius XM acquired Midroll Media, which includes Stitcher Radio and Earwolf, for $325 million.
