Polly Chandler is an American photographer noted for her unique portrait style illuminating the personality of her subjects through selective backgrounds and the use of large format cameras.
Polly Chandler began her career in graphic design, but became focused on photography and returned to Southern Illinois University earning an M.F.A. degree in photography. After graduation, Chandler moved to Austin, Texas began exhibiting in galleries and museums and became the photographer for the Texas House of Representatives. Chandler's photography has appeared in photography magazines including the Photo District News , B&W Magazine, American Photo, Shots Magazine, and PhotoLife, and has been selected for exhibits by Jock Sturges and Keith Carter.

Photojournalism is journalism that uses images to tell a news story. It usually only refers to still images, but can also refer to video used in broadcast journalism. Photojournalism is distinguished from other close branches of photography by having a rigid ethical framework which demands an honest but impartial approach that tells a story in strictly journalistic terms. Photojournalists contribute to the news media, and help communities connect with one other. They must be well-informed and knowledgeable, and are able to deliver news in a creative manner that is both informative and entertaining.

Michael O'Brien is an American photographer noted for his portraiture and documentary photography. Over the past four decades, O'Brien has photographed subjects from presidents, celebrities, and financiers to small-town Texans, including ranchers, beauty queens, writers, and bar owners. O'Brien has completed three books: The Face of Texas: Portraits of Texans (2003), updated with 24 new photographs in 2014; Hard Ground whose portraits of homeless individuals are paired with poems by Tom Waits (2011); and The Great Minds of Investing (2015), a collection of 33 portraits of famous investors such as Warren Buffett, Charlie Munger, Joel Greenblatt, and Bill Ackman, with accompanying profiles written by William Green.
Pictures of the Year International (POYi) is a professional development program for visual journalists run on a non-profit basis by the Missouri School of Journalism's Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute. POYi began as an annual competition for photojournalism in 1944. In her later career, she published several collections both with her sister and in collaboration with other authors.
