India first participated in the 1968 Summer Paralympics. The nation has appeared in every edition of the Summer Paralympics since 1984. The Paris 2024 Games marked India's 13th appearance at the Paralympics. The country has never participated in the Winter Paralympic Games.
Zahra Nemati is an Iranian Paralympic and Olympic archer. She originally competed in taekwondo before she was paralyzed in a car accident. At the 2012 Summer Paralympics she won two medals, an individual gold and team bronze. She has qualified to compete at both the 2016 Summer Olympics and the 2016 Summer Paralympics. Archery at the 2016 Summer Paralympics was held between 10 and 17 September 2016 at the Sambadrome Marquês de Sapucaí in the Maracana zone of Rio de Janeiro, and consisted of nine events. Although featuring the same number of events as in the 2012 Paralympic Games in London, their make-up changed substantially, with three men's events, three women's events and three events for mixed gender teams. In each category, two events involved the compound bow - one for wheelchair athletes, the other open - with an open event for recurve bow, the bow used for all Olympic events.

He represented Australia at the 2016 Rio Paralympics where he won a bronze medal. Milne won a bronze medal at the 2023 World Para Archery Championships. Rinku Hooda is an Indian para javelin thrower who competes in the F46 category. He represented India at the 2016 Summer Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. He qualified to represent India at the 2024 Summer Paralympics at Paris, his second Olympics and finished at 5th spot with the best throw of 61.58 metres.
Pooja Khanna is India's first ever Paralympic Archery player. She debuted at the 2016 Rio Paralympics at the age of 25 and was the only archer from India among all 19 athletes sent to the Games. She secured a fifth-place in the final Paralympic Qualifier which secured India's spot in the 2016 Olympics under World Quota Recurve Women Open in the Czech Republic 2016. Her Olympics journey ended at Round 32 after she failed to defeat Poland's Milena Olszewska by 2–6. She was able to secure a rank of 29 out of the 32 archers participating.
Karamjyoti Dalal is an Indian para-athlete from Haryana. She competes in discus throw F55 category. She qualified to represent India at the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris, her second Olympics. She took part in the Rio Paralympics but was heartbroken after three false starts.
Rubina Francis is an Indian para pistol shooter. She won the bronze medal at the P2 10 m air pistol SH1 event at the 2024 Paralympics Games. She made history by becoming the first Indian woman to clinch a Paralympics medal in pistol shooting by winning a bronze.
Rakesh Kumar is an Indian Paralympian archer competing in the Men's Individual Compound Open. He qualified to represent India at the 2024 Summer Paralympics at Paris, his second Olympics. He also won the bronze medal in the 2024 Summer Paralympics.

Pooja Ojha is an Indian para athlete from Madhya Pradesh who competes in canoeing. She qualified for the 2024 Summer Paralympics in the canoeing women's KL1 event. India earned quota places for the following events through the 2023 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Duisburg, Germany; and 2024 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Szeged, Hungary. Earlier, she represented India at the 2022 Asian Para Games at Hangzhou, China.
Shyam Sundar Swami is an Indian para archer from Rajasthan. He qualified for the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris in the men's Individual compound event of Archery competitions. He qualified for the Paris Olympics at the World Para Championships in June 2019 at Hertogenbosch with a ninth-place finish.
Sarita Adhana is an Indian paralympic archer. She qualified to represent India at the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris in the women's Individual compound event of Archery competitions.
Preethi Pal is an Indian para athlete. She won two bronze medals at the 2024 Paris Paralympics in the women's 100m and 200m T35 race events and created history by becoming the first Indian woman to win two medals in track and field events at Paralympic Games.

Amisha Rawat is an Indian para athlete from Uttarakhand. She competes in the shot put F46 category. She qualified to represent India at the 2024 Summer Paralympics at Paris.
Dharambir Nain is an Indian para-athlete. He won the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Paralympics in the men's club throw F51 event. He set an Asian record with his throw of 34.92 m.
