Badri is a 2001 Indian Tamil-language sports drama film directed by P. A. Arun Prasad. The film stars Vijay in the main lead role as a college brat who turns into a kickboxer to prove himself. It is the Tamil remake of the director's own Telugu film Thammudu (1999) which was based on the 1992 Hindi movie Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar which in turn was inspired by the 1979 American movie Breaking Away. Bhumika, Monal, Vivek, Riyaz Khan and Bhupinder Singh play supporting roles. The film marked Bhumika’s Tamil debut. The film's soundtrack was composed by Ramana Gogula, while the background score was composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
Aanandham (transl. Joy) is a 2001 Indian Tamil-language drama film co-written and directed by N. Lingusamy in his directoral debut and produced by R. B. Choudary. The film features an ensemble cast including Mammootty, Murali, Abbas, Devayani, Rambha, Sneha, Delhi Ganesh and Srividya. Arthur A. Wilson handled cinematography, while S. A. Rajkumar composed the film's score and soundtrack. The film was released on 25 May 2001 to positive reviews, and became one of the highest grossing Tamil films of the year. It was remade in Telugu as Sankranti (2005).
Punnagai Mannan is a 1986 Indian Tamil-language musical romantic drama film written and directed by K. Balachander. Unnai Charanadaindhen is a 2003 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by Samuthirakani, in his directoral debut starring Venkat Prabhu, S. P. B. Charan and Meera Vasudevan. It was produced by Charan's Capital Film Works and features a soundtrack composed by his father S. P. Balasubrahmanyam. Although the film was made on a small budget and fetched critical acclaim upon release, also winning two Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, Charan has said that it was not a profitable venture. Samuthirakani later directed the Telugu remake Naalo (2004), with Charan reprising his role.
Abitha is an Indian actress who appears in Tamil language films and television serials. She appeared in notable productions including Sethu alongside Vikram. She is famous for her role as Archana in the serial Thirumathi Selvam, which aired from 2007 to 2013 in Sun TV starring opposite Sanjeev. She was the winner of Sun Kudumbam Viruthugal for Best Actress twice by Sun Kudumbam Viruthugal for Thirumathi Selvam in the years 2010 and 2012.
Irukku Aana Illai is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language comedy thriller film written and directed by debutant K. M. Saravanan, a former assistant of Yugi Sethu. This film is based on Korean comedy horror film Ghost.

He was also an actor who appeared in Tamil language films, first appearing in the comedy film Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya (2013).

The film stars Sangita, Mansoor Ali Khan, Ishaq Hussaini and Vichithra, with Bhavana, Ragul, Rocky, Karikalan, Shanmugasundaram and Vadivukkarasi playing supporting roles. It was released on 15 October 1999.
