The park surrounds the Stabburselva river and its surrounding valley, just west of the large Porsangerfjorden. A small corner of the park extends into neighboring Hammerfest Municipality.
Kistrand (Norwegian), Čuđegieddi (Northern Sami), or Ryssämarkka (Kven) is a village in Porsanger Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. It is located on the eastern side of the Porsanger Peninsula, along the western shore of the Porsangerfjorden. The village lies along the European route E06 highway, about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) southeast of the village of Olderfjord.
Havvannet (Norwegian) or Vuolit Áhpelanjávri (Northern Sami) is a lake in Måsøy Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. The 3.69 square kilometres (1.42 sq mi) lake lies isolated in the mountains on the Porsanger Peninsula about 9 kilometres (5.6 mi) northeast of the village of Kokelv in Hammerfest Municipality. The lake sits at an elevation of 293-metre (961 ft) above sea level. The village of Slåtten lies about 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) northwest of the lake.
Kjæsvannet is a lake on the border of Porsanger Municipality and Lebesby Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. The 5.16-square-kilometre (1.99 sq mi) lake is located on the Sværholt Peninsula, about half-way between the villages of Veidnes and Brenna.

Laksefjorden, Lágesvuotna (Northern Sami), or Laisvuono (Kven) is a fjord located entirely in Lebesby Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. At 72 kilometres (45 mi) long, it is the third-longest fjord in Finnmark county after the Porsangerfjorden and Varangerfjorden. The fjord is situated in a sparsely populated area, with only few and small settlements along the fjord, including Lebesby, Kunes, Ifjord, and Veidnes. The fjord is surrounded by the Sværholt Peninsula to the west and the Nordkinn Peninsula to the east, and it empties to the north into the Barents Sea. Norwegian County Road 888 follows the southern and eastern shoreline of the fjord.
Lakselva is a river in Finnmark county in northern Norway. It begins in Karasjok Municipality runs north through Porsanger Municipality into the Porsangerfjorden, a fjord off of the Barents Sea. The 103-kilometre (64 mi) long river runs past the village of Lakselv. The European route E06 highway runs along the river for much of its course. The river is famous for its Atlantic salmon fishing.
Russelva is a 12-kilometre (7.5 mi) long river in Finnmark county, Norway. The river lies almost entirely in the Kvalsund area of Hammerfest Municipality, but the first 60 metres (200 ft) or so of the river lies in Porsanger Municipality. The river begins near the Tverrusselv Bridge at the confluence of two rivers: Tverrusselv and Miessejohka. The river then flows to the north-northwest before empyting into the Revsbotn fjord at the village of Kokelv.
Måsøya (Norwegian) or Muosáidsuolu (Northern Sami) is an island in Måsøy Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. The 13.45-square-kilometre (5.19 sq mi) island is located west of the large island of Magerøya and to the east of the islands of Hjelmsøya and Havøya. The Porsanger Peninsula on the mainland lies south of the island. The island is only accessible by boat, and there is regular ferry service from Havøysund. The population of the island (2012) is about 40 people.

The large peninsula sits between the Altafjorden and the Porsangerfjorden and includes parts of the municipalities of Alta, Hammerfest, Måsøy, Nordkapp, and Porsanger. Stabbursdalen National Park lies on the southern end of the peninsula.
Kåfjorden is a fjord in Nordkapp Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. The 4.5-kilometre (2.8 mi) long fjord is located on the Porsanger Peninsula and it flows past the village of Kåfjord. It is located about 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) southeast of the town of Honningsvåg. The fjord flows out into the Magerøysundet strait and then into the Porsangerfjorden. The European route E69 highway follows the southern coast of the fjord, and the entrance to the North Cape Tunnel lies on the western coast of the fjord.
Repvåg (Norwegian) or Reiffváhki (Northern Sami) is a small fishing village in Nordkapp Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. The village is located along the western shore of the Porsangerfjorden on the mainland Porsanger Peninsula.

Troms og Finnmark was a county in northern Norway that existed from 2020 to 2023. The county was established on 1 January 2020 as the result of a regional reform. It was the largest county by area in Norway, encompassing about 75,000 square kilometres (29,000 sq mi), and was formed by the merger of the former Finnmark and Troms counties in addition to Tjeldsund Municipality from Nordland county.
