The old Port of Garachico was the most important on the island of Tenerife between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. It was a commercial port with regular exchanges of merchandise to America and Europe. [1] In 1706, the eruption of the Trevejo volcano devastated and destroyed the port and with it the economic activity of the municipality. [1] Afterwards, in 2012, the current port located next to the historic center was inaugurated. [2]
The Port of Garachico has 160 berths on pontoons for sports boats up to 15 meters in length and is protected from waves and currents by a dike 650 meters long. [2]

Roque de Garachico is a small island or roque located 300 metres (980 ft) off the north coast of the island of Tenerife belonging to the municipality of Garachico. It stretches 284 metres (932 ft) north-south, and is up to 169 metres (554 ft) wide, with an area of five hectares. It emerges steep out of the sea, with nearly vertical walls of rock in places, and reaches a height of 77 metres (253 ft). The area was protected in 1987.

The Punta Rasca Lighthouse is an active lighthouse in the municipality of Arona on the Canary Island of Tenerife. The current lighthouse was the second to be constructed on the headland of Punta Rasca, which is located close to the most southerly point on the island at Punta Salemas. It lies between the Punta Abona Lighthouse to the northeast and the Punta de Teno Lighthouse of Buenavista del Norte to the northwest.
