The Portimo mine is one of the largest gold mines in the world. [1] It is located in the north of Lapland, Finland. [1] It has estimated reserves of 4.9 million oz of gold, 3.73 million oz of palladium and 1 million oz of platinum. [1] The mine also has ore reserves amounting to 78.1 million tonnes grading 0.10% copper and 0.07% nickel. [1]
