Postdata is the solo project of Paul Murphy of the band Wintersleep. [1] While centered around Murphy's songwriting and vocals, it features an ever-changing cast of supporting musicians. [2]
Supporting collaborators have included Murphy's brother Michael Murphy, Grant Hutchison and Andy Monaghan of Frightened Rabbit, Loel Campbell and Tim D'Eon of Wintersleep, and Simone Pace of Blonde Redhead. [1] [3]
The project's self-titled debut album was released on Hand Drawn Dracula in 2010, [2] and supported with a national tour across Canada. [4] Later in the year, Murphy released three additional non-album tracks. [5]
Postdata's second album, Let's Be Wilderness, was released in 2018 on Paper Bag Records. [1] The album was nominated for a Nova Scotia Music Award, [6] and appeared on the !earshot National Top 50 Chart in June. [7] A video for the track "Evil" was filmed in New York City by director Derrick Belcham. [8] That year the band performed at the Pop Montreal festival. [9]
The band's third album, Twin Flames, was released in March 2021. It was recorded in mid-2020 with co-producer Ali Chant, partly in Bristol, England, and partly during lockdown in Halifax. [10]
Run Wild, the band's fourth album, was released in September 2023. [11]

William Joel MacDonald Plaskett is a Canadian rock musician and songwriter based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He was a member of Halifax alternative rock band Thrush Hermit in the 1990s. Plaskett performs in a number of genres, from blues and folk to hard rock, country, and pop.
Kim Gaboury better known by his pseudonym Akido is a Canadian electronic rock musician and composer based in Montreal, Quebec. Gaboury assembles a band for live performances, but records without them in the studio.
Wintersleep is a Canadian indie rock band formed in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2001. The band's original lineup consisted of vocalist and guitarist Paul Murphy, guitarist and keyboardist Tim d'Eon, and drummer Loel Campbell. In 2002, Jud Haynes joined the band as bass guitarist until 2007. In 2005, Mike Bigelow joined on keyboards until 2006, after which he played bass, until 2016. Since 2006, Jon Samuel has served as a backing vocalist, keyboardist, and guitarist, while Chris Bell has served as a backing vocalist and bass guitarist since 2016. Bigelow returned to the band in 2021. In 2005, Wintersleep opened for Pearl Jam for two shows in St. John's, Newfoundland at the Mile One Stadium. The band received a Juno Award in 2008. To date, Wintersleep have released seven studio albums.

They have been hailed by several media outlets as one of the east coast of Canada's next big acts and were recently included on CBC's list of '21 Canadian albums we can't wait to hear in 2021'. Hillsburn have released three full-length studio albums, and have won or been nominated for a number of regional and national awards. Their latest record, Slipping Away, was released on May 28, 2021. Slipping Away was produced by Howard Redekopp, who has worked with other notable Canadian acts, including Tegan and Sara, The New Pornographers, and Mother Mother.
