Union Station, also known as Pennsylvania Station and commonly called Penn Station, is a historic train station in Downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It was one of several passenger rail stations that served Pittsburgh during the 20th century; others included the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad Station, the Baltimore and Ohio Station, and Wabash Pittsburgh Terminal, and it is the only surviving station in active use.
Pittsburgh Regional Transit is the second-largest public transit agency in Pennsylvania and the 20th-largest in the United States. The state-funded agency is based in Pittsburgh and is overseen by a CEO and a board of unpaid volunteer directors, some of whom are appointed by the county executive and approved by the county council; and one each by the majority and minority leaders by each political party. After operating as the Port Authority of Allegheny County for most of its history, the agency rebranded under its current name in June 2022. In 2023, the system had a ridership of 39,730,300.
The Panhandle Bridge carries the three lines of the Port Authority Light Rail Network across the Monongahela River in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The name comes from Pennsylvania Railroad subsidiary Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis Railroad, also known as the Panhandle Route, which operated over the bridge.
The Red Line is a line on the Pittsburgh Light Rail system that runs between South Hills Village and Downtown Pittsburgh via the Beechview neighborhood. The companion route, the Blue Line, branches off north of Martin Villa – which closed in 2012 – and runs through Overbrook. In March 2007, the closure of the Palm Garden Bridge for refurbishment suspended the Red Line for five months; it resumed service in September.
Station Square station is an intermodal transit station in the South Shore neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, located at the Station Square shopping and entertainment complex. It is served by the Red Line, Blue Line, and Silver Line of the Pittsburgh Light Rail network, and is the northern terminus of the South Busway. The station is near the Monongahela Incline and the Gateway Clipper Fleet.
First Avenue station is a station on Pittsburgh Regional Transit's light rail network. The station is part of the light rail's Downtown Pittsburgh free zone, and passengers embarking here may travel for free to any of the other stations within the zone.
Steel Plaza station is a station on the Pittsburgh Regional Transit's light rail network, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It serves the city's Downtown district and is located at the intersection of Grant Street and Oliver Avenue. The station consists of an outbound (southbound) side platform and an inbound island platform, with one track for trains to Wood Street and the other for a disused branch line to Union Station. The station has rights to 4.25 acres underground Mellon Green and is accessible by means of a tunnel that connects BNY Mellon Center and the US Steel Tower. It is also the closest station to PPG Paints Arena and the primary station used for the Pittsburgh Penguins' home games.
South Hills Village is a station on Pittsburgh Regional Transit's light rail network. It is the southern terminus of both the Red and Blue lines. Port Authority's switching yard and shops are located just west of the station. The station is located in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania and is adjacent to the South Hills Village shopping complex. A large 7-floor, 2,200 space parking garage was completed in 2004 at a cost of $21.6 million and is located on site for commuters traveling from Pittsburgh's South Hills suburbs. The station itself is located at the center-back of the first floor of the garage. In addition to serving as a commuter stop, the site also handles much reverse flow traffic of shoppers from the city and more northerly suburbs.

Lytle is a station on the Port Authority of Allegheny County's light rail network, located in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. The station serves area commuters, serving most notably as a park and ride station with 286 spaces. Many residences are also within walking distance, providing local access to Downtown Pittsburgh.
Dorchester is a station on the Port Authority of Allegheny County's light rail network, located in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. The street level stop was added to the route to serve the nearby Dorchester Apartment complex, for which the stop was named. A variety of apartment blocks have been located near the stop, as part of a transit village model designed to encourage public transit as the primary form of transportation for residents.
Highland is a station on the Port Authority of Allegheny County's light rail network, located in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. Located in a railroad cut, the stop is designed as a small commuter stop, serving area residents who walk to the train so they can be taken toward Downtown Pittsburgh. A staircase to each platform is available from Highland Road, which crosses over the line on an overpass. In addition, access to the outbound platform is available through a walkway which leads to Santa Fe Drive. There is no grade crossing for passengers at the station.

The station is also designed to serve the crowded and mostly residential community that surrounds the site.
Hampshire is a station on the Port Authority of Allegheny County's light rail network, located in the Beechview neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The T travels along former streetcar tracks on Broadway Avenue through the area. The inbound stop is located on a small island platform in the middle of the road, while the outbound stop is just a sign, with no platform. The station serves a densely populated residential area and also the neighborhood's small but crowded business district. It is located in an area where bus service is limited because of the hilly terrain.
Fallowfield is a station on Pittsburgh Regional Transit's light rail network, located in the Beechview neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The high level stop is located at the end of Broadway Avenue, built where the tracks transition from a street to a private right-of-way. The station serves a densely populated residential area through which bus service is limited because of the hilly terrain. Although a high level stop, there is no fare booth, so passengers must board or alight from the first car of a two car train.
Palm Garden station is an at-grade combined light rail and busway station operated by Pittsburgh Regional Transit in the Mount Washington neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The station is located on an exclusive right-of-way shared by the Red Line of the Pittsburgh Light Rail and South Busway routes 39, 41, Y1, Y45, Y46, Y47 and Y49. The station provides access to residences along the back slope of Mount Washington and is named for the large Palm Garden Apartments complex, which is centered on the stop.
Allegheny station is a station on the Pittsburgh Regional Transit's Pittsburgh Light Rail network, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The stop serves the North Shore neighborhood and other adjacent neighborhoods. Among the locations within walking distance are: Acrisure Stadium, the Pittsburgh Steelers football stadium; Rivers Casino; the Stage AE amphitheater; Community College of Allegheny County's Allegheny Campus; and Kamin Science Center.

Sheraden station is a below-grade busway station operated by Pittsburgh Regional Transit in the Sheraden neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The station is located on the West Busway and is served by routes 28X, G2, G3 and G31. The station is located slightly below grade as the Berry Street Tunnel is located just south of the station. This is the northernmost station on the busway. Just north of the station, the dedicated roadway connects with Pennsylvania Route 51, which routes use to connect with Downtown Pittsburgh.
