Pouya Khazaeli is an Iranian architect. He founded Esfahk Mud Center (E.M.C) in July 2015 to revive what he considers to be the lost spirit of architecture; beyond utility and conceptual design towards the extension of organic settings with reverence to the cultural heritage of the region.[ citation needed ]

He has worked with Shigeru Ban, [1] [2] Anna Heringer, Bahram Shirdel and Cameron Sinclair. Pouya Khazaeli is the winner of « World Design Impact Prize - 2016 » and « Emerging Architecture Awards - 2015 » and announced as Iranian architect of the year in 2015. He is winner of the first place for the best constructed buildings in Iran 2010. [1] [3]

Jeanne Gang is an American architect and the founder and leader of Studio Gang, an architecture and urban design practice with offices in Chicago, New York, San Francisco, and Paris. Gang was first widely recognized for the Aqua Tower, the tallest woman-designed building in the world at the time of its completion. Aqua has since been surpassed by the nearby St. Regis Chicago, also of her design. Surface has called Gang one of Chicago's most prominent architects of her generation, and her projects have been widely awarded.

The World Architecture Festival (WAF) is an annual festival and awards ceremony, one of the most prestigious events dedicated to the architecture and development industries. The first four events were held in Barcelona, from 2008 to 2011, at which point the festival moved to Singapore for four years. Since 2016, host cities have included Berlin and Amsterdam. It is the only event where around 550 shortlisted architects present their projects live in crit rooms to a judging panel. One of these projects is awarded the World Building of the Year title. Each year the World Architecture Festival publishes a list of the winners of the awards on their official website.

Johnsen Schmaling Architects is an architecture firm located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States, where it was founded in 2003 by Brian Johnsen and Sebastian Schmaling. The office is located in a former shoe factory in the Brady Street district of Milwaukee. The principals have described their design philosophy as "poetic realism". Abeer Seikaly is a Palestinian architect who designed a multi-use, disaster shelter for refugees. She lives in Amman Jordan. Seikaly is an architect and designer who has worked for Villa Moda in Kuwait in 2005. She directed the first contemporary art fair in Jordan in 2010.
