Precious is the second studio album by Australian singer songwriter Conrad Sewell. The album was announced in October 2023, alongside the album's second single "Make Me a Believer". [5] Precious was released on 3 March 2023 [6] and peaked at number 67 on the ARIA Chart.
In an interview with The Music , Sewell said "The brief, really, was classic songs. Basically, the kind of songs that feel like they could be played at the grocery store every day for the next 20 years. Songs that are absolutely timeless." [7]
David James Young from The Music said "Sewell exudes confidence when it comes to Precious. He has every right to, as well – it's handily the best thing he's ever made." [7]

Augie March are an Australian pop and indie rock band, which formed in 1996 in Shepparton, Victoria. Since 2001 the group consists of vocalist and rhythm guitarist Glenn Richards, lead guitarist Adam Donovan, bass guitarist Edmondo Ammendola, drummer David Williams, and keyboardist Kiernan Box. The song was almost given to Australian singer Kylie Minogue, but Sewell decided that "it didn't sound like a Kylie song" and continued with his own version of the composition. In an interview on Joy 94.9, Sewell said that he recorded the track in one take and was driven by "pure emotion" that just "came easily". Sewell said, "I need to be singing soulful music like this!"
