Allentown Presbyterian Cemetery (also known as Presbyterian Churchyard) is a cemetery located in Allentown, in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States.
Silas Condict was an American farmer, prominent surveyor, and large landowner from Morris County, New Jersey. He served as a New Jersey delegate to the Continental Congress from 1781 to 1783. Later, he served a number of terms in the State Assembly, and was its Speaker in 1792-1794 and in 1797. His name can be found in archived Congressional records @ " A Biographical Congressional Directory, 1774-1903" @ page 467, found at Google books and at Archive.org. In 2004–2005 it received the remains of bodies removed from the Hudson County Burial Grounds in Secaucus, New Jersey. The plaque for the Hudson County arrivals reads: "In 2003, the remains of 4,569 of these individuals were removed from the Potter’s Field and brought to this spot to be honored and remembered. May this site serve in perpetuity as their final resting place and a sanctuary of peace."
