Silas Condict was an American farmer, prominent surveyor, and large landowner from Morris County, New Jersey. He served as a New Jersey delegate to the Continental Congress from 1781 to 1783. Later, he served a number of terms in the State Assembly, and was its Speaker in 1792-1794 and in 1797. May this site serve in perpetuity as their final resting place and a sanctuary of peace."
