Release

The film premiered on March 9, 2019 as part of the Cinequest Film Festival. [6] It also screened at the 2019 Portland Film Festival, where it won the award for Best Film. [7]

Reception

The film has an 88% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 17 reviews with an average rating of 7.2/10. [8] John DeFore of Hollywood Reporter said Princess of the Row is "an uneven but sincere portrait of filial devotion." [9]

Gathegi also featured in the AMC series Into the Badlands as Baron Jacobee. He has also been a recurring character in the NBC television series The Blacklist as Matias Solomon, an operative for a covert organization. Gathegi reprised the role in the 2016–2017 season crime thriller, The Blacklist: Redemption. He has also played a leading role in Startup, a television drama series on Crackle. Since 2022, Gathegi has played engineer and entrepreneur Dev Ayesa in the Apple TV+ original science fiction space drama series For All Mankind. He is set to play the role of Mister Terrific in James Gunn's film Superman (2025).
