Prishtina High School prepares students to be responsible citizens and active learners. Prishtina High School provides an American-style education in Kosovo. The school is located in the Matiqan region of Prishtina. Classes first began on 1 September 2007. They started working with only 26 students the first year. The teachers all came from the U.S. Don Tingle was the principal of the school and he was the one to work with the Ministry of Education in order to get the school licensed. [1] At the beginning of 2010-2011 year 130 students have enrolled, including the high school and a middle school program for grades 6 to 8. Now, PHS, as an internationally accredited American-style school, offers grades 1 to 12.
Students there have to complete the following subjects: 4 years of English, Math, Science, History, Language, Physical Education, Fine Arts. In order to graduate, a student must complete a minimum of 22 credits. A 70% in each class is required to pass the course. Completing 20 hours of community service each year is required too. [2]
In 2018, Prishtina High School joined the Network of International Christian Schools.

Plagiarism shows lack of responsibility in an active learner. If a student is found to have plagiarized on any assignment, quiz, test, a zero will be given. If a student is caught plagiarizing or cheating on a major assignment, quiz, test, a total of three times during a semester, the student will receive a semester grade of “NRY” and fail the course. Prishtina High School partners with MU High School through the University of Missouri to offer students access to high school and advanced courses not offered at PHS. Prishtina High School partners with Bethany College, Lindsborg Kansas, in offering two courses for dual credit: MA102 College Algebra and MA130 Analytic Geometry and Calculus 1. [4]
Prishtina High School uses RenWeb School Management Software to help students and parents know about their grades, access homework assignments and lesson plans, find the teachers' e-mails and contact them, and see photos, news, and dates from the school calendar. [5]

Robert Cecil Palmer Secondary School, is a public, co-educational secondary school situated in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada which educates students in grades 8–12. Palmer Secondary School is one of the many schools under the Richmond School District. The University of Pristina is a public university located in Pristina, Kosovo. It is the institution that emerged after the disestablishment of the University of Pristina (1969–1999) as a result of the Kosovo War. The inauguration of the university was a historical occurrence not only for the people of Kosovo, but for the whole Albanian nation. On 15 February, the solemn Parliament session took place, which is also proclaimed as The University of Pristina's Day. In the composition of the newly established University of Pristina were faculties with their headquarters in Pristina: the Faculty of Philosophy, Faculty of Law and Economics, Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Medicine. Now the University of Pristina has 17 faculties, of which 14 are academic faculties and 3 are faculties of applied sciences. Contained within the emblem is a translation of the name into Latin, Universitas Studiorum Prishtiniensis.

The university was established in 2002 and is part of the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in the Rochester, New York, metropolitan area.
Subway Academy I is a public alternative high school in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Originally, Subway Academy I was simply called "Subway Academy", but after Subway Academy II opened, the name was changed to "Subway Academy I". It was founded in September 1973, making it one of the oldest secondary alternative schools in Toronto. The original staff were Achim Krull, Judith Robertson and Murray Shukyn. The school was a reflection of the Ivan Illich "deschooling" movement, which proposed that people would learn best from community resources. As a result, a directory of resources along the Toronto subway system was created, and the school derives its name from that initiative. The community resource aspect of the program however faded very quickly. Students were more interested in formal credit courses and academic courses leading to admission to university or college. Subway Academy started as an independent studies program. It was intended to make education available to students with family or other obligations which limited their ability to attend school during regular hours and who could not attend night school. The school enrolled students at any time during the year, not just in September. Originally, there was no upper age limit on enrolment. The school attracted many adults. The independent studies program at Subway Academy operated very differently from regular high school programs. Students met their teachers by appointment several times a week, but there were no formal classes. During the appointments, students reviewed their progress with their teachers, wrote tests, handed in assignments, and received new work. Students could work at the school, or at home, or at the local library, wherever they were comfortable. Students started courses when they joined, and finished courses whenever they had completed all the required work. Additional courses could be started at any time. Today Subway Academy combined formal classes with independent studies, and students are required to complete courses during a regular semestered timeframe. Subway Academy One continues to share a building with Eastern Commerce Collegiate Institute. Today it offers courses from grades 9 to 12 at both the academic and applied level. As the enrolment at Subway Academy increased, it was divided into two branches. Subway Academy II was opened in the west end of Toronto. Judith Robertson became the first coordinator of that program. It continues today as an independent studies program.
High Tech High North County, also known as HTHNC, is a charter school located in San Marcos, California. It is a part of the High Tech High organization. Opening in 2007, with its initial class consisting of only 150 freshmen, the school has since expanded, with more than five hundred and fifty students attending. The sophomore, junior, and senior classes were added when the original Freshman moved up. It is one of only two High Tech High schools to be built from the ground up with the other being High Tech High Chula Vista. The school follows the same type of personalized, college preparatory, project-based learning characterized at other High Tech High schools.
Princeton High School (PHS) is a four-year comprehensive public high school in Princeton, New Jersey, operating as part of the Princeton Public Schools district. Students from Cranbury Township attend PHS as part of a sending/receiving relationship with the Cranbury School District. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1932 and is accredited through January 2026.
Portola High School (PHS) is one of five public high schools in the Irvine Unified School District (IUSD) and is located in Irvine, California. The groundbreaking ceremony was held in October 2014 and the school opened in August 2016. The campus is situated on 42 acres (0.17 km2) of land and can accommodate approximately 2,600 students. The school is located at the intersection of the Rise Park, Altair, and Solis Park neighborhoods in the eastern part of the city.
Education in Kosovo is carried out in public and private institutions. Starting from 1999, education in Kosovo was subject to reforms at all levels: from preschool education up to university level. These reforms aimed at adjusting the education in Kosovo according to European and global contemporary standards. As a first step of this new system is considered the establishment of the Department of Education and Science (DES), which is followed with the creation of legal and professional infrastructure, which should facilitate the fundamental reformation of the education, and the establishment of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MEST) in March 2002. During this period the private education system began to develop.
