Jerzy Julian Hoffman is a Polish director, screenwriter, and producer. He received the Polish Academy Life Achievement Award in February 2006.
Jeroen Aart Krabbé is a Dutch actor and film director with a successful career in both Dutch- and English-language films. He is best known to international audiences for his leading roles in the Paul Verhoeven films Soldier of Orange (1977) and The Fourth Man (1983), for playing the villain General Georgi Koskov in the James Bond film The Living Daylights (1987) and his parts in The Prince of Tides (1991), The Fugitive (1993), and Immortal Beloved (1994). His 1998 directorial debut, Left Luggage, was nominated for the Golden Bear at the 49th Berlin International Film Festival.
Elem Germanovich Klimov was a Soviet and Russian filmmaker. He studied at the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography, and was married to film director Larisa Shepitko. Klimov is best known for his final film, 1985's Come and See, which follows a teenage boy in German-occupied Byelorussia during the Great Patriotic War and is often considered one of the greatest films ever made. His work also notably includes black comedies, children's movies, and period dramas.

Soldier of Orange is a 1977 Dutch romantic war thriller film directed and co-written by Paul Verhoeven and produced by Rob Houwer, based on Erik Hazelhoff Roelfzema's autobiographical book of the same name. At the 11th Moscow International Film Festival in 1979, she won the award for Best Actress for her role in Portrait of Teresa. In 1985, she was a member of the jury at the 14th Moscow International Film Festival. She was married to writer/director Pastor Vega until his death in Havana, Cuba.
