History
Promar TV was created in the Lara State as an independent television produccion company called Mariano & Co. towards the end of the year 1949. Its founders were Mariano Kossowski and his brother Andrés Kossowski.
The first produccion by Mariano & Co. was a newscast, which began airing at the end of the year 1950 and was seen in clubs, schools, and on a large screen located in the parking lot of the local Sears. This was the very first newscast that was made in the interior of the country.
"El noticiero Lara" remained on the air until 1953, when it was shut down by the local municipal council because they considered it to be an unfair competitor to the local movie theaters.
In that same year (1953), television appeared in Venezuela. "El noticiero Lara" was developed into a correspondence for the national television station, Radio Caracas Televisión. By then Mariano Co. had their offices located in Barquisimeto, but they would later open offices throughout most of the country.
In the 1960s, Mariano Co. began to make its own televised program known as "Actualidades", whose main objectives was to educate people who were living in the capital of Venezuela on Lara's culture. Actualidades stopped being produced in 1975 when its time slot was given to El Observador's midday broadcast. Mariano Co. had excellent contracts to produce other programs such as "Venezuela Vibra", "Dimensión Humana", and "Alerta" to name a few.
After several decades of producing shows for other television stations, Mariano Co. decided to create its own television station.
Promar TV, as its known today, first went on the air in November 1995, broadcasting from Barquisimeto. Today, Promar TV is on the air 24 hours a day.

It is an important urban, industrial, commercial and transportation center of the country, recognized as the fourth-largest city by population and area in Venezuela after Caracas, Maracaibo and Valencia.
KFYR-TV, virtual channel 5, is a dual NBC/Fox-affiliated television station licensed to Bismarck, North Dakota, United States. The station is owned by Gray Television. KFYR-TV's studios are located on North 4th Street and East Broadway Avenue in downtown Bismarck, and its transmitter is located near St. Anthony, North Dakota. On cable, the station is available on Midcontinent Communications channel 7 in the Bismarck–Mandan area and channel 5 in most other areas. There is a high definition feed provided on Midco digital channel 607.

KTMD, virtual channel 47, is a Telemundo owned-and-operated television station serving Houston, Texas, United States that is licensed to Galveston. The station is owned by the Telemundo Station Group subsidiary of NBCUniversal. KTMD's studios are located on I-610 and Bevis Street on Houston's northwest side, and its transmitter is located near Missouri City, in unincorporated northeastern Fort Bend County.
KTUZ-TV, virtual channel 30, is a Telemundo-affiliated television station serving Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, United States that is licensed to Shawnee. It is the flagship station of locally based Tyler Media Group, and is part of a duopoly with Woodward-licensed Univision affiliate KUOK, channel 36. It is also a sister station to low-powered Estrella TV affiliate KOCY-LP.
KSTS, virtual channel 48, is a Telemundo owned-and-operated television station licensed to San Jose, California, United States and serving the San Francisco Bay Area. The station is owned by the Telemundo Station Group subsidiary of NBCUniversal, as part of a duopoly with NBC owned-and-operated station KNTV, also licensed to San Jose; it is also sister to regional sports networks NBC Sports Bay Area and NBC Sports California. KSTS and KNTV share studios on North 1st Street in the North San Jose Innovation District; KSTS' transmitter is located on Mount Allison.

WETM-TV, virtual channel 18, is an NBC-affiliated television station licensed to Elmira, New York, United States, serving the Western Twin Tiers of Southern Upstate New York and Northern Pennsylvania. The station is owned by Nexstar Media Group. WETM-TV's studios are located on East Water Street in downtown Elmira, and its transmitter is located on Hawley Hill in Big Flats, New York. On cable, the station is available on Charter Spectrum channel 3 and in high definition on digital channel 1203.

The station is owned by the Telemundo Station Group subsidiary of NBCUniversal. KDEN's studios are located at the Comcast Media Center on East Dry Creek Road in Centennial, and its transmitter is located in rural southwestern Weld County.
Radio Caracas Televisión (RCTV) was a Venezuelan free-to-air television network headquartered in the Caracas neighborhood of Quinta Crespo. It was sometimes referred to as the Canal de Bárcenas. Owned by Empresas 1BC, Radio Caracas Televisión (RCTV) was inaugurated on 15 November 1953 by William H. Phelps, Jr.. Its radio counterpart was Radio Caracas Radio.
