Misiones is one of the 23 provinces of Argentina, located in the northeastern corner of the country in the Mesopotamia region. It is surrounded by Paraguay to the northwest, Brazil to the north, east and south, and Corrientes Province of Argentina to the southwest.

The Front for the Renewal of Social Concord, officially registered as the Party of Social Concord is a Peronist provincial political party in Argentina, based in Misiones Province. It is regarded as the dominant party in the province, controlling both the governorship and the provincial legislature, as well as having a majority in provincial seats in both chambers of the National Congress. It is also the largest party within the eponymous Front for the Renewal of Concord alliance. Its purpoted ideological basis is the so-called "Misionerismo", which stands for further autonomy for Misiones.
Club Sportivo Miramar Misiones, usually known simply as Miramar Misiones is a Uruguayan football club based in Montevideo. The club was formed from the merger of two clubs: Miramar and Misiones, in June 1980. As part of the merger, the new strip for the new club was a mixture of those of the previous two clubs. The home strip is the old Miramar strip, and the away strip was the one used by Misiones. What made this merger notable was that Miramar and Misiones were local derby rivals, having both originated in the same neighbourhood of Montevideo.

He is a National Senator representing Misiones Province, which he led as governor from 2007 to 2015.
The National University of Misiones is a public university in Argentina. It has a publishing house and a radio station, LRH301 FM Universidad Nacional de Misiones, that streams in Ogg Vorbis format.
The Governor of Misiones Province is the chief executive of Misiones, one of the federal Provinces of Argentina. This office is elected by the popular vote of the province for term of four years. Since 10 December 2023, the governor has been Hugo Passalacqua of the Party of Social Concord.
Sandra Daniela Giménez is an Argentine politician who served as a National Senator for Misioness from 10 December 2011 to 9 December 2017, as Vice Governor of Misiones from 2007 to 2011, under Maurice Closs. Born in Jardín América, Giménez studied medicine in Corrientes, graduating from the National University of the Northeast (UNNE) with specializations in surgery and pediatrics in 1991 and 1996, respectively. She had chosen to study medicine in memory of her brother, who had died at age 11. After graduating, she worked as a medical auditor for the Government of Misiones Province. Through the rest of the 1990s, she served as the Provincial Public Hospital of Pediatrics Executive Director, and in 2003 she was elected to the Chamber of Representatives of Misiones as a member of the Front for the Renewal of Concord party, serving until 2007.
Ricardo Wellbach is an Argentine politician who was a National Deputy elected in Misiones Province from 2017 to 2021. A member of the regionalist Front for the Renewal of Concord (FRC), Wellbach previously served as a member of the Chamber of Representatives of Misiones from 2007 to 2011. During the 2019–2021 congressional term, Wellbach was president of the FRC parliamentary bloc in the Chamber of Deputies.
Diego Horacio Sartori is an Argentine politician currently serving as a National Deputy elected in Misiones Province since 2019. A member of the regionalist Front for the Renewal of Concord (FRC), Sartori previously served as deputy from 2003 to 2007. He also served two consecutive terms as mayor of his hometown, Leandro N. Alem, from 2011 to 2019. In addition, he has served as a member of the provincial legislature of Misiones on two occasions.

The Chamber of Representatives of Misiones Province is the unicameral legislative body of Misiones Province, in Argentina. It convenes in the provincial capital, Posadas.
