Punkaharju Airfield is an airfield in Punkaharju, Savonlinna, Finland, [1] about 3 kilometres (2 mi) south of Punkaharju municipal centre.
Punkaharju is a former municipality of Finland. It was consolidated with the town of Savonlinna on January 1, 2013.
Savonlinna is a town and a municipality of 33,580 inhabitants in the southeast of Finland, in the heart of the Saimaa lake region. The Finnish name of the town means "Castle of Savonia" and the Swedish name means "New Castle".

Helsinki-Malmi Airport is an airport in the city of Helsinki, Finland, located in the district of Malmi, 5.4 NM north north-east of the city centre. Until the opening of Helsinki Airport in 1952 it was the main airport of not only Helsinki but also Finland. Today, the airport is still actively used in general aviation and flight training. It still is the second-busiest airport in Finland after Helsinki Airport, as measured by the number of landings.
Puruvesi is a lake in Eastern Finland. The lake is located in Kerimäki, Kesälahti and Punkaharju municipalities. Part of the Saimaa lake system, it borders on the sub-lake system of Pihlajavesi to the south. 1659 Punkaharju, provisional designation 1940 YL, is a stony Postremian asteroid from the middle region of the asteroid belt, approximately 30 kilometers in diameter. It was discovered on 28 December 1940, by Finnish astronomer Yrjö Väisälä at Turku Observatory in Southwest Finland. It is named for the municipality of Punkaharju.

The Dm12 is a diesel railcar operated by VR Group.
The Dm10 was an experimental diesel multiple unit built by VR Group's Pieksämäki workshop in 1994. It was based on a blue passenger carriage, Eit 23018, which was fitted with two diesel engines taken from HKL buses 601 and 608. The train had 80 no-smoking seats and had the driver selling tickets, which was unusual for Finnish conditions. During testing, it was run under the nomenclature KOEMV 9991, transporting Finnish President Martti Ahtisaari in Savonia in May 1994.
Sääminki is countryside and former municipality of Finland. Most of Sääminki municipality was incorporated in 1973 with the Savonlinna town and the rest with Punkaharju municipality.
