Esperanza Base is a permanent, all-year-round Argentine research station in Hope Bay, Trinity Peninsula. It is one of only two civilian settlements in Antarctica. The base's motto is Permanencia, un acto de sacrificio.

At a height of 220 feet (67 m) it is the eleventh-tallest "traditional lighthouse" in the world, as well as the tallest lighthouse in the Southern Hemisphere.
El Rincón Light is an active lighthouse in the Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. At a height of 203 feet (62 m) it is the nineteenth tallest "traditional lighthouse" in the world, and one of the tallest concrete lighthouses in the world. Located about 30 miles (48 km) northeast of Pedro Luro on the Península Verde, it guards a principal entrance to the seaport of Bahía Blanca.
Lambda Island is an island lying immediately north-west of Delta Island in the Melchior Islands, of the Palmer Archipelago in Antarctica. The island, the largest in the north-western part of the island group, was first roughly charted and named "Île Sourrieu" by the French Antarctic Expedition, 1903–05 under Jean-Baptiste Charcot, but that name has not survived in usage. The current name, derived from lambda, the 11th letter of the Greek alphabet, was given by Discovery Investigations personnel who roughly charted the island in 1927. The island was surveyed by Argentine expeditions in 1942, 1943 and 1948.
Potter Cove is a cove indenting the south-west side of King George Island to the east of Barton Peninsula, in the South Shetland Islands of Antarctica. Potter Cove was known to sealers as early as 1821, and the name is now well established in international usage.
