Pussella is a village situated about 8 km away from Mawathagama in Sri Lanka.
Peradeniya is a suburb of the city of Kandy, about 30,000 inhabitants in Sri Lanka. It is situated on the A1 main road, just a few kilometres west of Kandy city centre. Peradeniya is supposed to take its name from pera (guava) and deniya.

She served as a transport between Singapore and Japan in 1944 until sunk in the battle for convoy Hi-71 while assigned to the defense of the Philippines.
