The Qaqortoq Stadium is a stadium in Qaqortoq, Greenland. It was completed in September 2010, and it hosts football matches. [1] [2]
The conditions in Greenland meant that matches could only be played between May and September, and on sand and ash pitches as grass cannot be easily grown in the harsh environment. However the Danish Football Association, with financing by the FIFA Goal Programme began laying an artificial grass pitch in the Southern town of Qaqortoq in September 2009. The pitch cost $500,000, of which $400,000 was provided by the FIFA Goal Programme. [3] [4]
The venue was handed over to Greenland Football Association president Lars Lundblad by FIFA president Joseph Blatter and DBU president Allan Hansen on 13 September 2010. Qaqortoq mayor Kristine Raahauge said that "Local residents can play sport at any time now, and this has already helped us to reduce the crime rate." [3]

The Northern Ireland men's national football team represents Northern Ireland in international association football. The Greenland national football team represents Greenland in non-FIFA international tournaments. It is controlled by the Football Association of Greenland. Although it has the same status as the Faroe Islands within the Kingdom of Denmark, Greenland is not, unlike the Faroe Islands national football team, a member of FIFA nor of any continental confederation and therefore is not eligible to enter the World Cup or other sanctioned tournaments. Most of the matches they have played have been against the Faroe Islands and Iceland, but neither of the two consider those games full internationals. In May 2022 it was announced that Greenland had officially applied to become a member of CONCACAF.
The Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan, commonly known as the Salt Lake Stadium, is an all-seater multi-purpose stadium located in Salt Lake City, Kolkata, with current capacity of 68,000 spectators. In association football, goal-line technology is the use of electronic aid to determine if a goal has been scored or not. In detail, it is a method used to determine when the ball has completely crossed the goal line in between the goal-posts and underneath the crossbar with the assistance of electronic devices and at the same time assisting the referee in awarding a goal or not. The objective of goal-line technology (GLT) is not to replace the role of the officials, but rather to support them in their decision-making. The GLT must provide a clear indication as to whether the ball has fully crossed the line, and this information will serve to assist the referee in making their final decision.

The Bonaire national football team is the national football team of the Caribbean island of Bonaire, a public body of the Netherlands. It is under the control of the Bonaire Football Federation. It became a member of the CFU and an associate member of CONCACAF on 19 April 2013. after which it became a full CONCACAF member on 10 June 2014 The team can participate in the CONCACAF Gold Cup and Caribbean Cup because of their membership in the confederation and sub-confederation. However, Bonaire is not a member of FIFA and therefore can not compete in the FIFA World Cup or other FIFA events.

The 1989 Greenlandic Men's Football Championship was the 19th edition of the Greenlandic Men's Football Championship. The final round was held in Qaqortoq. It was won by Kagssagssuk Maniitsoq for the first time in its history.
