Hasan completed his SSC certification at the Kurigram River View High School. [1] He joined the Abudharr Ghifari College after moving to Dhaka. [1] While a freshman at the college, Bangladesh Liberation War broke out in 1971. [1] He joined the Mukti Bahini and received initial training in Bhurungamari Government College. [1] He received military training from Indian Army officers at Mujib Camp in Darjeeling. [1]
Hasan fought in Lalmonirhat District of sector 7 of the war zone. [1] His camp was located in India and his unit was commanded by an Indian Army Officer. [1] He also practiced Reiki during the war. He was wounded during the war and received treatment at M.J.N. Medical College & Hospital in Cooch Behar. [1] He was fitted with a prosthetic right leg at Military Hospital Kirkee in Pune. [1]
After the Independence of Bangladesh, he started working as a script writer for Bangladesh Betar. [1] His first radio drama, Kheaghater Majhi, aired in 1972. [1]
In 2018, Hasan was given the Independence Award posthumously for his contribution to the Bangladesh Liberation War. [2] [3]

Muhammad Ataul Gani Osmani, was a Bengali military leader. Osmani's career spanned five decades, beginning with service in the British Indian Army in 1939. He fought in the Burma Campaign during World War II. After the partition of India in 1947, he joined the Pakistan Army and served in the East Bengal Regiment, retiring as a colonel in 1967. Osmani joined the Provisional Government of Bangladesh in 1971 as the commander-in-chief of the nascent Bangladesh Forces. Regarded as the founder of the Bangladesh Armed Forces, Osmani retired as a four-star general from the Bangladesh Army in 1972.
