Quesnel Kangaroos

The Quesnel Kangaroos was an intermediate and senior ice hockey team in Quesnel, British Columbia that played as an Intermediate team at least as far back as 1965. In 1979, they became a member of the upstart BCSHL. After the demise of the BCSHL (after just two seasons), the Kangaroos continued on as either an independent Senior or Intermediate club. [1] In 1993 the team played in the Allan Cup final but lost to the Whitehorse Huskies in the final game.

The British Columbia Hockey League is a Junior A ice hockey league from British Columbia under Hockey Canada, a subsection of the Canadian Junior Hockey League. Founded in Vernon in 1961, the BCHL now includes 17 teams. The league is split into two conferences: the Interior Conference and the Coastal Conference. The winner of the BCHL playoffs continues on to play the Alberta Junior Hockey League champion in the Doyle Cup for the right to compete in the National Junior A Championship.

The Durham Thundercats, originally the Durham 72's, are a senior hockey team based out of Durham, Ontario, Canada. The Thundercats date back to the towns Centennial, 1972, and have been an extremely successful team in all loops of the Western Ontario Athletic Association Senior "AA" Hockey League.

They played their home games at Quesnel Twin Arena. The ownership group accepted an offer from the Chiefs Development group to move them to Chilliwack to play in Prospera Centre as of 2011 which was vacated after the Chilliwack Bruins were sold and moved to Victoria, BC. They are now known as the Chilliwack Chiefs.

Rocky Mountain Junior Hockey League

The Rocky Mountain Junior Hockey League was a Canadian Junior "A" ice hockey league in British Columbia.

The 1993 Allan Cup was the Canadian national senior ice hockey championship for the 1992-93 Senior "AAA" season. The event was hosted by the Quesnel Kangaroos in Quesnel, British Columbia. The 1993 tournament marked the 85th time that the Allan Cup has been awarded.

The Savage Cup is the trophy that is awarded to British Columbia’s senior ice hockey champions. This trophy was first presented in 1912-13 to the ice hockey team fielded by the Vancouver Rowing Club. and the Savage Cup will be awarded to the BC provincial champions for the 2009-10 season.
