R. A. M. Golam Muktadir (died 27 November 2020) [1] was a two star rank Bangladesh Army officer and former Director General of Bangladesh Rifles. [2]
During the dictatorship of General Hussain Muhammad Ershad,he was the Chief Martial Law Administrator of Jessore region. One broadcaster of State-owned Bangladesh television was fired from his job for pronouncing his name wrong by military censure. [3] He commanded the 11th Infantry Division. [4]
Muktadier was the Director General of Bangladesh Rifles from 01 July 1982 to 16 July 1985. [5] He met his counterpart,M. C. Misra of the Border Security Force,at a conference on the Bangladesh-India border. [6]
The Border Security Force (BSF) is India's border guarding organisation at its borders with Pakistan and Bangladesh. It is one of the five Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) of India,and was formed in the wake of the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965 "for ensuring the security of the borders of India and for connected matters therewith".

He was a cabinet minister,supreme court judge,and chief election commissioner.
Lieutenant General Amir Abdullah Khan Niazi commonly known as General Niazi was a Pakistani military officer. During the Bangladesh Liberation War and the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971,he commanded the Pakistani Eastern Command in East Pakistan. He signed the instrument of surrender as on 16 December 1971 his forces had to surrender to the Indian Army's Eastern Command's commander Lieutenant General Jagjit Singh Aurora by the order of the then President of Pakistan Yahya Khan.
The Bangladesh Army is the land warfare branch and the largest component of the Bangladesh Armed Forces. General elections were held in Bangladesh on 7 May 1986. A total of 1,527 candidates contested the election. The result was a victory for the Jatiya Party,which won 153 of the 300 directly elected seats. Voter turnout was 61%. Bangladesh Nationalist Party,the winner of the previous elections,boycotted the election.
General Khalid Mahmud ArifNI(M) HI(M) SI(M) SBt LoM popularly known as K.M. Arif,was a senior officer of the Pakistan Army,serving as the vice-chief of army staff under President Zia-ul-Haq,who retained the command of the army since 1976.
The 1982 Bangladeshi military coup d'état deposed the civilian government headed by the President of Bangladesh Abdus Sattar and brought to power the Chief of Army Staff of the Bangladesh Army Lt. Gen. Hussain Muhammad Ershad. After serving initially as the Chief Martial Law Administrator,Ershad assumed the post of president in 1983 and ruled until 1990.

Major General Shakil Ahmed was a two star general of the Bangladesh Army and the head of Bangladesh Rifles. He was commissioned in the Regiment of Artillery in 1976. He was a graduate of the Armed Forces Staff College,Malaysia. A former Distinguished Allied Graduate from Field Artillery Officers Advanced Course at Fort Sill,Oklahoma of the US Army,he had been a Directing Staff at Defence Services Command and Staff College in Mirpur,Dhaka. He was also an instructor at Artillery School and commanded a Artillery Brigade. He also served as a sector commander of the Bangladesh Rifles.
Quazi Golam Dastgir was a Bangladesh army general and diplomat. From 1975 to 1977,he served as the "Zonal Martial Law Administrator" for Dhaka Division.
Sofi Ahmed Chowdhury is a retired two-star rank Bangladesh Army officer and former Director General of Bangladesh Rifles.
Mohammad Mainul Islam is a retired lieutenant general of the Bangladesh Army. He is the former Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division and Chief of General Staff (CGS) of the Bangladesh Army. He also served as Director General Bangladesh Rifles. He is currently the president of the Bangladesh Archery Federation.
The Indian military bands consists of musicians from the Indian Army,Navy and Air Force. Indian military bands regularly participate in international festivals and take part in celebrations dedicated to various national events. These bands are permanent participants in the Delhi Republic Day parade on the Kartavya Path. Today,the Indian Armed Forces have more than 50 military brass bands and 400 pipe bands and corps of drums. A Tri-Services Band refers to a joint Indian Armed Forces military band that performs together as a unit. At the Spasskaya Tower Military Music Festival and Tattoo in Moscow,the band consisted of 7 officers and 55 musicians. The Military Music Wing of the Army Education Corps is the principal educational institution of the armed forces that provides instruction to musicians of all ranks. Instruction is also provided by the Military Music Training Center and the Indian Navy School of Music.
