R. Eswaran is an Indian politician and former Member of the Legislative Assembly. He was elected to the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly from Vasudevanallur constituency,in the 1984, [1] 1989, [2] and 1991 elections [3] as an Indian National Congress candidate. He then won the same seat in 1996 [4] and 2001 as a Tamil Maanila Congress (Moopanar) candidate. [5] .Before becoming an MLA he took charge as the President of Ramanathapuram Panchayat in Tirunelveli District.
He hasfive daughters and a son.
