Sri Brahdamba Dasa Rajah Rajagopala Tondaiman Bahadur, popularly known as Rajah Rajagopala Tondaiman, is an Indian socialite and the present head of the royal house of Pudukkottai. He is a shotgun shooter and is married to politician AMMK Organising Secretary Tmt. Sarubala Tondaiman.
Rajagopala Tondaiman was born on 6 September 1957 to Prince Radhakrishna Tondaiman, the younger brother of Rajah Rajagopala Tondaiman, and his wife, Mathusri Raja Srimathi Rani Rema Devi Rajammani Bayi Sahib. Rajagopal finished his schooling and college at Trichy. He was adopted at an early age by his uncle and the last Maharajah of Pudukottai, Maharajah Rajagopala Tondaiman. [1]
Rajagopala Tondaiman became the titular Rajah of Pudukkottai upon the death of his uncle Rajagopala Tondaiman on 16 January 1997. [1] The position is ceremonial and heads some family-owned trusts, a patron of a few clubs and hereditary trustee of temples.
He is a skeet shooter [2] and is the president of the Royal Pudukkottai Sports Club, which trains shooters in Trap, Double Trap and Skeet Events and Vice President of the Tamil Nadu Shooting Association. He is a Convenor for the Movement for the Restoration of Vedic Wisdom.
He is married to Rani Sarubala Tondaiman, who is the organising secretary of Amma Makkal Munnettra Kazhagam, former mayor of Tiruchirappalli and the treasurer of Royal Pudukottai Sports Club. [3] The couple have a son, R. Prithviraj Tondaiman, who is an International Trap Shooter and the Secretary of Royal Pudukottai Sports Club, [2] and a daughter, Radha Niranjani, who is also a national trap shooter and the Joint Treasurer of Royal Pudukottai Sports Club. Sivaganga District is one of the 38 districts in Tamil Nadu state, India. Veerapandiya Kattabomman was an 18th-century Palayakarrar and king of Panchalankurichi in Tamil Nadu, India. He fought the British East India Company and was captured by the British with the help of the ruler of the kingdom of Pudukottai, Vijaya Raghunatha Tondaiman, and at the age of 39 he was hanged at Kayathar on 16 October 1799.

Periyanayagi Madha Shrine is a Roman Catholic church in the village of Avur, 28 kilometres (17 mi) from the town of Pudukkottai in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It was constructed by Rev. She quit the Tamil Maanila Congress (TMC) and joined the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) on 15 September 2016. Later, she sided with RK Nagar MLA Dhinakaran to become a higher office holder in the Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam.

R Muthukannammal is a seventh generation veteran Sadir dancer from the Indian State of Tamil Nadu. She is the only surviving person among the 32 Devadasis who served the deity at the Viralimalai Murugan temple and she is the last woman to have the ceremony pottukkattutal of dedicating oneself to God performed at the Viralimalai temple. In the year 2022, Govt of India honoured Muthukannammal by conferring the Padma Shri award for her contributions in the field of art. The dance form Sadir, variously called as Sadiraattam or Parathaiyar Aattam or Thevarattam, is a classical Indian dance from which was reinvented, modified and rechristened as Bharatanatyam through the efforts of E Krishna Iyer in 1932. However, Muthukannammal has chosen to call her art form Sadir, making her the only Sadir exponent today.
