The R65 is a provincial route in Mpumalanga, South Africa that connects Ermelo with the Eswatini border at Sandlane, via Amsterdam. [1]
The R65 begins just north-east of the Ermelo town centre, at a junction with the N17 national route. It heads eastwards from the N17 junction for 73 kilometres to reach a junction with the R33 route in the town of Amsterdam. The R65 continues east-north-east for 17 kilometres to reach the Nerston Border Post, where it crosses into Eswatini and becomes the MR19 route. The border on the Eswatini side is named Sandlane. [1]
Ermelo is the educational, industrial and commercial town of the 7,750 km2 Gert Sibande District Municipality in Mpumalanga province, Republic of South Africa. It is both a mixed agriculture and mining region. It is located 210 km east of Johannesburg.
Bethal is a farming town in Mpumalanga, South Africa. The farms in the region produce maize, sunflower seeds, sorghum, rye and potatoes. The town lies 155 km (96 mi) east of Johannesburg on the N17 national route.
