RCRD LBL was a website for free, [1] curated, and legal MP3 [2] downloads from emergent artists.

RCRD LBL was launched in 2007 by Josh Deutsch, Peter Rojas [3] and creative director Elliot Aronow, [4] and featured thousands of free singles, remixes, exclusive tracks and rarities from a diverse, handpicked roster of artists. The site served up millions of downloads and plays per month. [5]

As of November 2013, the site has been taken down and there have been no new posts on the site's Facebook or Twitter feeds since May 2013.

eMusic is an online music and audiobook store that operates by subscription. In exchange for a monthly subscription eMusic users can download a fixed number of MP3 tracks per month. eMusic was established in 1998, is headquartered in New York City with an office in London, and is owned by TriPlay.

Amie Street Online music store from 2006-2010

Amie Street was an indie online music store and social network service created in 2006 by Brown University seniors Elliott Breece, Elias Roman, and Joshua Boltuch, in Providence, Rhode Island. The site was notable for its demand-based pricing. The company was later moved to Long Island City in Queens, New York. In late 2010, the site was sold to Amazon who redirected customers to their own website.

SpiralFrog was a very early music streaming service based in New York City that launched in the United States and Canada on September 17, 2007. SpiralFrog offered free and legal music downloads, all supported by advertising, and was the largest site of its kind in North America. On March 19, 2009, SpiralFrog terminated operations due to loan recalls. While SpiralFrog was not successful in the end, it nonetheless helped shaped the digital music industry shift from the purchase to streaming models, and its ultimate revenue recovery.

The online service imeem was a social media website where users interacted with each other by streaming, uploading and sharing music and music videos. It operated from 2003 until 2009 when it was shut down after being acquired by MySpace.

International Music Score Library Project

The International Music Score Library Project (IMSLP), also known as the Petrucci Music Library after publisher Ottaviano Petrucci, is a subscription-based project for the creation of a virtual library of public-domain music scores. Since its launch on February 16, 2006, over 495,000 scores and 59,000 recordings for over 152,000 works by over 18,000 composers have been uploaded. Based on the wiki principle, the project uses MediaWiki software, with an iOS app released July 10, 2018 and an Android app released March 28, 2019. Since June 6, 2010, the IMSLP also includes public domain and licensed recordings in its scope, to allow for study by ear.

<i>Workout Holiday</i> 2007 EP by White Denim

Workout Holiday is the second release for Austin, Texas-based rock trio White Denim, consisting of nine self-recorded songs. Also known as the "Tour EP", Workout Holiday was sold exclusively on tour in 2007.

<i>Exposion</i> 2008 studio album by White Denim

Exposion is the title of White Denim's first full length U.S. studio album. The debut record was first sold at live shows during their spring 2008 tour with Tapes 'n Tapes. The LP was distributed as an unlabeled CD-R in a paper wrapping, along with the title 11 Songs printed on the front. This "Tour LP" has finally been pressed onto 7" records, and it was released November 3, 2008 on Transmission Entertainment. Exposion features many songs from previous releases, but most have been re-worked and re-recorded. The new album will be released much like the Let's Talk About EP, with the band reporting that "CDs seem pretty worthless to us". The digital format of the album became available at the band's website on October 19, 2008, as announced at their October 20, 2008 show at Union Hall in Brooklyn, NY. It is also available as a Disc 2 to their 3rd album, Fits on most digital music services.

WSJ. or WSJ. Magazine, which was originally intended to be a monthly magazine named Pursuits, is a luxury glossy news and lifestyle monthly magazine by the publishers of The Wall Street Journal. It features luxury consumer products advertisements and is distributed to subscribers in large United States markets as well as throughout Europe and Asia. Its coverage spans art, fashion, entertainment, design, food, architecture, travel and more. Kristina O’Neill is Editor in Chief and Anthony Cenname is Publisher. Launched as a quarterly in 2008, the magazine grew to 12 issues a year for 2014.

Hollerado

Hollerado was a Canadian indie rock band from Ottawa, Ontario. Formed in 2007, the band consisted of Menno Versteeg, Nixon Boyd, Dean Baxter and Jake Boyd. Hollerado went on to release four studio albums, before disbanding in 2019. They were nominated for awards such as the Juno Award that included Best New Group Award at the 2011 Juno Awards.

Tigers is a 5-song EP released by the Washington, DC rock band The Dance Party. It was initially intended to be released on July 14, 2009; however, only a limited number of EP's were pressed and were made available only at live shows due to contractual obligations with Atlantic Records.

Jessica 6 (band)

Jessica 6 is the electronic pop performing alias of Nomi Ruiz which began as a Brooklyn-based Nu-disco and R&B trio that formed after helping put together the Hercules and Love Affair live show. Formerly known as Deep Red, their name was taken from the lead character of the same name from the 1967 novel Logan's Run.

Eightcubed

Eightcubed is a Canadian electronic music producer, DJ, and performer from Toronto, Ontario. His debut album, Simple Dance, was released in 2006 by Abstract Core Records. In 2008, "Heart Invaders" was released with a music video directed by computer animator Dan Swan and nationally aired on MuchMusic throughout 2008 to 2011. In 2009, he released City Life, an EP that received popular acclaim for its low-fi and retro- futuristic sound, heard in songs such as "Promise Me" and "The Island of Purple Waterfall". Another music video for the single "Enter Light" followed in 2011 with video animation by Andrea Simone. In a Detroit radio interview, Eightcubed explained the importance of the storytelling found in his music. In 2013, he released Sheath & Beyond EP, with the hit single "Comfort Temple", launching him into the Top 10 of many North American radio stations. He has been featured in Now Magazine, RCRD LBL, MTV Canada, and independent blogs.

Redbubble is a global online marketplace for print-on-demand products based on user-submitted artwork. The company was founded in 2006 in Melbourne, Australia, and also maintains offices in San Francisco and Berlin.
