Rfi Romania is the Romanian language radio service of Radio France Internationale. Unlike BBC Romanian, Rfi Romania has studios that cover most of the urban area of Romania and Moldova.

In 1998 Radio Delta became Radio Delta RFI. [1] In 2006 Radio Delta RFI became RFI România. [1]

Prix découvertes RFI is the French-speaking African version of the reality singing competition, RFI Discovery Prize, and was created in 1981 to highlight new musical talents from Africa each year. This show has featured artists such as Tiken Jah Fakoly, Mav Cacharel, Rokia Traoré, Didier Awadi, Amadou and Mariam, Canjo Amissi or Maurice Kirya.

Victor Sebastian Costache was the Minister of Health of Romania from 4 November 2019 to 26 March 2020 when he resigned in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in Romania. He was succeeded as Minister of Health by Nelu Tătaru.
