In a special feature on April 5, 2017, NPR's All Things Considered categorized their music as "String-Band Pop". Anna Tivel is an American singer-songwriter from Portland, Oregon. She has released four studio albums on Portland-based Fluff & Gravy Records. Her 2017 album Small Believer received positive reviews and was named a "Top 10 underheard album of 2017" by Ann Powers of NPR. In 2019, NPR called her album The Question "one of the most ambitious folk records of 2019"; it was also listed by Paste as one of "10 essential folk albums from 2019".
Kate Austin Rhudy is an American folk-pop and country singer-songwriter, musician, and recording artist. Trained as a classical violinist, she played in multiple local bands in Boone, North Carolina as a fiddler before moving to Nashville to further pursue a career in music. She later moved to back to her hometown, Raleigh, and began performing as a solo artist. In 2017, she released her debut album, Rock N' Roll Ain't For Me. In 2022, she released her second album, ”Dream Rooms” which she debuted at the Raleigh Rose Garden selling out her show.

Buller is the first woman to win the International Bluegrass Music Award for Fiddle Player of the Year as well as the first artist to win awards in both vocal and instrumental categories in the same year.
Jordan Andrew Tice is an American guitarist and vocalist based in Nashville, Tennessee. He is known for his solo work in the progressive bluegrass and Americana genres, and through collaborative projects such as Hawktail, which features Brittany Haas, Paul Kowert, and Dominick Leslie.
Found Light is a 2022 studio album by American singer-songwriter Laura Veirs. This is the first album without long-time producer Tucker Martine and also the first where Veirs recorded her guitar and vocals simultaneously. It has received positive critical reception.
