Yleisradio Oy, abbreviated as Yle, translated into English as the Finnish Broadcasting Company, is Finland's national public broadcasting company, founded in 1926. It is a joint-stock company, which is 99.98% owned by the Finnish state and employs around 3,200 people in Finland. Yle shares many of its organisational characteristics with its British counterpart, the BBC, on which it was largely modelled.
Television was introduced in Finland in 1955. Color television started in 1969 and was introduced gradually, with most programs in color by the late 1970s. All terrestrial analogue stations stopped broadcasting on 1 September 2007 after the introduction of digital television; cable providers were allowed to continue analog broadcasting in their networks until 1 March 2008.
Littoinen is a village in south-western Finland, centred on Lake Littoinen. The village is shared between the town of Kaarina and the municipality of Lieto, and it borders the regional centre of Turku. It started growing after the founding of a broadcloth factory by Lake Littoinen in 1739, and the railway connection built in 1899 increased its growth. In the 1960s the operations of the broadcloth factory were discontinued due to decreased demand, but the premises still exist and have been transformed into residential and commercial spaces. The factory's heritage is still visible in the village's place and street names.

Yle Vega is a Finnish radio channel broadcasting in the Swedish language. It is operated by Finland's national public service broadcaster Yle, and broadcast news, current affairs, culture and music targeting mature audiences, complements Yle's other Swedish-speaking service, Yle X3M which targets youth-audiences. It was launched in 1997, replacing Yle's previous full-network service for Swedish-speakers, Riksradion which was founded in 1961.

The last day would be dedicated to duets of the most popular performances.

Finland originally planned to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 with the song "Looking Back" written by Joonas Angeria, Whitney Phillips, Connor McDonough, Riley McDonough and Toby McDonough. The song was performed by Aksel Kankaanranta. The Finnish broadcaster Yleisradio (Yle) organised the national final Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2020 in order to select the Finnish entry for the 2020 contest in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Six entries were selected to compete in the national final on 7 March 2020 where the 50/50 combination of votes from eight international jury groups and votes from the public selected "Looking Back" performed by Aksel Kankaanranta as the winner.

The 13th season of The Voice of Finland started airing on January 19, 2024. Star coaches Elastinen and Maija Vilkkumaa continued from the previous season, and were joined by Sanni and Arttu Wiskari... The hosts for the 13th season are Heikki Paasonen and Jaana Pelkonen. The program is broadcast on TV in Finland to the channel Nelonen and is available through the Ruutu+ subscription service. Parts of the show are posted to YouTube as well. The season consists of four different phases; the Blind Auditions, Battles, Knock-Outs and Live broadcasts. "The Cut" from the previous season has been omitted.
